Outside behind the mansion, everyone is chatting and letting Mario know the details with Eggman and other contents so Mario and Luigi don't get confused during the future adventure.
Sonic: Basically, Eggman has been attacking us and this City. At the same time we need to find the Seven Chaos Emeralds.
Mario: You mean those shiny objects that powers everything?
Luigi: They don't even look like-a-emeralds. They look like diamonds.
Espio: Yeah, I don't know why they are called Emeralds.
Vector: We can't just call them diamonds?
Espio: That would be confusing.
Sonic: Anyways, my rival Shadow is trying to keep the emeralds for himself and we can't let the emeralds get in the wrong hands.
Mario: Oh, not Shadow.
Sonic: So you all filled in?
Mario: Yeah.
Luigi: Uh-huh.
Sonic: Alright!

Chris: Hey Guys!
Everyone in Unison: Oh Hey Chris!
Meanwhile*
Eggman: So you must be that Bowser Guy that's been trying to look for the Mario Bros.
Bowser: I scanned their location they are in the same town that Sonic and his friends are in.
Eggman: So you said, your army are..Koopas, Goombas, and whoever Basilix, The Koopalings, and Fawful are.
Bowser: Yep! So what are you striving for other than Sonic?
Eggman: Getting Shadow to bring me the Seven Chaos Emeralds!
Bowser: You mean those Diamond shaped things?
Eggman: Yeeeesss!
Bowser: So when do we attack?
Eggman: Not now. We wait.
