Disclaimer: Characters belong to Himaruya, the AU isn't mine either, it's inspired by the movie "In Time" (2011). The prompt I am using are from an old challenge I am not doing, but I really liked the prompts so... I'll credit it anyway, because it seems right, you'll find the link on my profile!

Less than two minutes

"W-What are you doing?" The shorter male started struggling, trying getting away from his friend's firm grasp.

"What do you think I am doing, Arthur?" Alfred looked down at him, a sad smile on his lips, a smile full of regrets.

Arthur glanced at the numbers on their arms changing quickly, too quickly. It was making him sick.

"I won't let you! You still have time, your family will help you!" But the other just shook his head, not letting go of him.

"I don't care, I don't want to... I am ready." He said, finally letting go of him, both their clocks displaying less than two minutes left.

Arthur looked down, tears filling his eyes "...Why?" He just managed to whisper, shivering. "You could have all the time you want."

Alfred sighed and wrapped his arms tightly around him "You're right, I could. I've lived for so long, but I've been dead this whole time."
"I don't understand..." He murmured, hugging him back.

Alfred chuckled and cupped his cheek "I have just one regret, Arthur, but I am going to fix that straight away." He leant in and pressed their lips together in a soft, loving kiss.

Arthur, startled, stood still, but soon melted under Alfred's gentle touch, kissing him back. He sighed as they pulled away "Alfred I..."

"I love you Arthur. I have for a long time now; sorry I didn't tell you before." The taller male cut him off. "Maybe if I did, this wouldn't have happened..."

Arthur smiled and shook his head "I love you too, Alfred. That's all that matters right now, right?" He cupped his face, while the other smiled back and nodded.

"Yeah, you're right." The taller slid to the floor, pulling Arthur close to his chest, he didn't want to know how much time they had, he just wanted to cherish every second he had left with his love. "You know... I honestly don't need any more time. One minute with you is worth a thousand years."

"Cheesy..." He mumbled, teasing the other, but blushing nonetheless.

"But it's true, right? It isn't about how much time you have, it's about making the best out of every second, about sharing it with who you love."

Arthur leant in, pressing their lips together once more, it was true, one second could be eternal if shared with someone you loved.

And that one second of eternity was worth death, because it meant that, in that very second, at least, they got to live.

Author notes: Hello folks! This... This is my first experiment as a writer, but I found this prompt list on the internet (I will put the link in my profile), I won't do the challenge, it seems far too old anyway, but the prompts were really cute so I really wanted to try writing with them.I won't write them all in just one story, because some prompts might result in one shots, maybe a long fic (even if I really don't think so...)

I truly, truly hope this didn't come out as a mess. English is not my first language and this is unbeta'd... I'll try to improve!

But, anyway! Thank you for reading so far, I hope to see you again soon.
