Eavesdropping

By Relm

Lina and Zelgadis decided to call it a night and leave the library. It was rather late in the evening and they hadn't found any new leads on their current enemy. So they headed back to the inn and made their way to their rooms. They both parted ways in the halls and almost reached their respective doors till they heard something coming from one of the rooms.

"Ow! Ow!" Amelia cried out from her room.

Lina and Zelgadis exchanged looks of curiosity and walked over to Amelia's door and listened in.

"Mister Xellos stop! You're ow hurting me!"

"Come now Amelia relax. It will only hurt for a little while and then you'll feel much better." Xellos' voice was smooth. Too smooth.

Lina's eyes went wide. As did Zelgadis'.

"This was a bad idea it's hurting too much!"

"Because you're squirming. You're the one that asked me to do this for you. You wanted me to ease your tension." Xellos chuckled.

"I know but I've changed my mind. Ow! Stop it please!" Amelia pleaded.

"I can't stop now my dear Amelia. Not till I am finished."

"OWWWWWW!" Amelia screamed out in pain.

Lina and Zelgadis burst through the door ready to kill Xellos.

"Xellos how dare you do that to Am-" Lina started but stopped mid sentence when she realized the scene was a little different then she was expecting.

Both Xellos and Amelia were fully clothed. Amelia was sitting in a chair with no back and Xellos appeared to be massaging her back.

Xellos flashed Lina a mischievous smile. "What? Helping Amelia with her back pain? She seems to have pulled something. I was only trying to help." He said sweetly.

"We thought… That you… And Amelia…" Zelgadis sputtered out.

"Oh dear, people really shouldn't eavesdrop. And making assumptions with not enough fact too. I must say I'm surprised with you two, I'm very shocked." Xellos grinned.
