Julie Teeger 14

Benjamin Matte 17

Julie Teeger was a happy teenager. She had a loving mother, Natalie, who more or less "worked" for the famous San Francisco dective, Adrian Monk. She was the star athlete on her freshmen basketball team, and one of the most popular and beautiful girls in her school. She was a freshman at P.S. 42 in San Francisco, and as such, had a senior mentor for the first week. She'd decided to wear her Christmas outfit to school to look nice for the senior, her outfit consisting of a red shirt with a tie in the back, and a black skirt, about knee-length, and tan stockings and buckle shoes. She was talking to her friends Sean, Jamie, Zoey, and Clinton when Benjamin showed up.

"Hello, Ms. Teeger. I'm Benjamin and I'll be your senior mentor for the week. If you have any questions about school, need help, or just want someone to talk to, come and find me. Do you mind if I sit here and get to know you while we wait for first period to start?" Benjamin asked.

"Sure, why not. My name is Julie, so you don't have to call me 'Ms. Teeger' all the time," Julie said, extending her hand for a hand shake. Benjamin took her hand and brought it up to his lips to kiss, gentleman-style. Julie couldn't help blushing at this and her friends started giggling.

"It was lovely to meet you, Julie. I got to go take care of some things. Hope to see you later." Benjamin said, before grabbing his backpack and heading off to class. As he was leaving, Julie couldn't help staring at him as he left. Just then, the bell rang and it was time for first period.

Later that day (at lunch)….

Julie was walking into the cafeteria for lunch and didn't know where to sit. About a minute after she walked in, Benjamin walked in.

"Hey there, Julie. Mind if we have lunch together?" asked Ben.

"Sure, I'd love that," she replied, with a hint of a twinkle in her eye. The two high schoolers sat alone in a booth, across from each other. Julie took her lunch out of her bag, and Ben pulled out a drink.

"Aren't you going to eat, Ben?" questioned Julie.

"Nah, I'm not that hungry. Anyway, I wanted to say that you look amazing today. Love the outfit," Ben complimented, smiling at Julie.

"Thanks Ben. I'm glad you like it," Julie said, thanking him and starting into her sandwich. While she was chewing, she'd started to notice that Ben was cute, not "dreamiest guy in school" cute, but definitely cute.

"Enjoying your first day, Julie?" asked Ben. She replied that she was, except for all the homework. Ben, having a bit of a crush on Julie, decided to try something.

"do you mind if I try and help you with your homework? We can go back to your place if you want to," Ben asked, giving an innocent look to Julie. Of course, homework wasn't all he had on his mind, but she didn't need to know that.

"I'd love that, Ben. I kind of didn't understand a lot of the work that was assigned. I'm sure I'm going to need a lot of help," Julie said, emphasizing 'a lot' and rubbing her foot against Ben's. The two finished lunch by getting to know each other and flirting and enjoying being with each other. Julie told Ben she'd meet him in front of the school to get a ride to her house.
