The kid and the princess had already been put to sleep in another room, the shiro manju curled up in Sakura's gentle hands. Much to Kurogane's show of dismay, he was left to share the small room and the small bed with the crazy magician.
Blondie had insisted that they could share the bed, despite Kurogane's insistence that he would be far more comfortable sleeping outside in the snow. But the mage just wouldn't shut up until—with a heavy sigh that knew of the impending distress—the uncomfortable warrior settled down onto the mattress.
There was a flash of pale skin and the touch of soft hair as Fai passed over him to settle comfortably onto the bed. "Good night, Kuro-rin" he chimed sleepily, sparkling blue eyes smiling down at him before Fai turned his face down at let out a gentle sigh.
Kurogane grunted in reply, his face creased in a dark frown—especially with the proximity of the pale hand to the side of his face. And try as he might, he could not get comfortable. The unpleasant, unfamiliar feeling of Fai's still form lingering of his own was far from putting his storming mind to rest.
How… did it end up like this?
"Oi," the black-haired male finally muttered darkly. He knocked the mage's hand from his face in an attempt to wake up the other.
"Hmmm, what is it, Kuro-pii?" The grinning face turned to glance at him.
"I don't like this being on the bottom deal," he grunted, glaring at the barely visible blonde head.
Fai fidgeted and pushed himself up to look down at the warrior. "Ooh? But I was so comfortable"
Kurogane reached over and grasped Fai's arm. "I don't care," he growled, pulling down the crazy mage—who had a look of surprised glee plastered on his stupid face.
"Waaaa Kuro-tan is so forceful!" Fai cooed cheerfully as he let himself get yanked down onto the space that had just been vacated. "Mmm it smells like you, Kuro-pon!"
Kurogane grunted, smothering the mage's face with one large hand as he pushed himself to his feet. "I hate bunk beds," he grumbled darkly as he clambered up the latter on the side and settled onto the top mattress. And much to his dismay, it smelled like Fai.
