At two in the morning, Ryou awoke to the sound of fighting outside his bedroom window. He pulled back his curtains and saw a large chimera anima fighting against Mew Ichigo. She was alone and fighting the anima with all her might. He had no idea what she was doing, but he watched her with intense interest.
The anima knocked Ichigo down and then threw her against a tree. Ryou held his breath. She didn't move. He jumped out the window and onto the balcony outside. He began to run down the stairs when he heard a girl's voice and the anima and Ichigo disappeared.
"So you see, the simulation unit I built for you should be able to show you exactly what the Mews would do in any situation with the animas."
"Your help is greatly appreciated." a guy's voice said. Ryou looked up and saw a girl sitting on a light post talking with Pai. "And you shall be rewarded for your donation."
"The only thing I want from you is answers. Where is she?" the girl asked, but Pai vanished.
The girl leapt down from the light post and landed in a ballet-style pose. She had the figure of a ballerina and her clothes made her seem even more so. She had long, silvery white hair that reached to her knees. Her skin was so pale it seemed almost ghostly in the faint light of the light post. She was wearing a pure-white ballet dress that resembled the one used in the play Swan Lake (it's really more like Kreahe's outfit in Princess Tutu, but white), white stockings, white ballet en-pointe shoes, a feathery tiara and wristbands. What really surprised Ryou was the pair of small white wings protruding from the girl's bare back, the bushy white tail that flowed from under her dress, and the small white cat ears that sat atop her head.
Who is she? Ryou asked himself. She's not anyone I've met before... and why is she doing business with the aliens?
The girl looked up and her silver eyes landed on Ryou. He didn't know what to do, so he cautiously approached the girl. He accidentally stepped on a twig that snapped and the girl's head snapped up and she ran off into the night.
Ichigo stood outside the cafe, sweeping up outside when she heard a soft clunking sound. She looked up to see a girl using a cane to search the ground in front of her. Her eyes were a light grey and it was clear she was blind.
"Excuse me, miss, would you like some help?" Ichigo offered sweetly.
The girl looked in Ichigo's direction and smiled. "Yes, please, I was told there was a small cafe around here somewhere. Do you know where it is?"
Ichigo smiled brightly. "It's right here." she answered.
"Thank you very much." The girl said as she began to head toward the entrance. "You're very kind."
Ichigo blushed and then continued to sweep up the sidewalk.
Inside, Lettuce seated the blind girl and took her order. Zakuro sits at the same table as the girl.
"What's your name?" she asked.
"My name is Mana." the girl replied. "I know it's a strange name, but I was named after my grandmother."
"That's sweet. My name's Zakuro." Zakuro said kindly.
The two continued to have a conversation while a certain alien spied on them through the window. It seems as if we'll need to guide our little weapon more away from this place... she can't find out who she really is.
