"We have all the time in the world"

A bright green light hurtled towards James Potter; a millisecond before it struck him, the last thought that ran through his head was 'Merlin don't let them be next. Keep them safe'. The last word uttered out of James' mouth was "Lily".

"Avada Kedavara" screamed Voldemort. A heavy thud rang thought the Potter's home in Godric's Hollow and Lily knew what it meant. James was dead. Her James had died. She had heard him being murdered. "James" she said her voice no more than just a faint whisper. Lily, still clutching Harry to her chest, placed him in his crib, and pressed a loving kiss to his cherubic face .

"Harry be safe, be strong. Mama loves you. Dada loves you". And before she knew it she collapsed down dead in front of her one year old son.

James awoke to a bright, white light shining off his round glasses. Pushing himself up, staggering like a drunk man, he took in his surroundings. It looked like King's Cross Station, but a lot cleaner and without the trains or muggles wandering around travelling to and fro. He turned round only to come face to face with his parents, standing there, watching him.

"You've been so very brave James. We are so very proud of you" Spoke Charlus Potter.

His mother, Dorea, was next to speak. "You've lived a good life sweetheart. Be proud of yourself". He could see the tears role down both her cheeks.

"What about Lily and Harry?" He asked his voice breaking as he himself was close to tears. It hurt to think he would never see them, but he would be happy knowing that they would be safe and alive. But it would break his heart if he saw Lily and Harry, yet he would be happy to be with them again.

As soon as he had voiced his question, he saw a bright light go as soon as it arrived, and there laying on the floor he saw the bright red hair he fell in love with all those years ago with the woman he loved so dearly.

She lifted her self up, not standing, but just so she could see of anyone was there. "James" she cried , hoping he hadn't gone one without her.

"Lils". Lily turned to see James sprinting over to her and picked her up, lifting her torso into his arms where she broke down into tears of great sadness, loss and tragedy.

"We failed him James"

"No. we did our best, just maybe he won't arrive". James said, though there was doubt in his voice.

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, nothing happened. Harry wasn't wasn't going to arrive.

Lily's tears had stopped, and she spoke "Stay with me".

"Always" replied James, planting a kiss in her hair. "Always".

He whispered into her ear loud enough so his parents could hear. "It's all right. It's quite all right really". He looked up to his parents and now also Lily's "We're just resting. We're moving on now". Tears were crawling down James' cheeks. Still looking at his and Lily's parents "There's no hurry you see". Focussing his attention back on Lily, "We have all the time in the world". And so they waited.
