Alfred's eyes dropped down to their entwined fingers; it was a day of hope and a day of sadness.
He'd miss his family, but yet he could not part with Al either.
He loved Al beyond what words could sum up, and Alfred never was gifted with words either.
Al loved him just as much as he did too.
The red haired American was very expressive in his love for him; he expressed that love through silly terms of endearment that never to make Alfred blush though other times he expressed his love differently.
Alfred secretly adored every pet name that Al called him by though he'd never tell him that.
He knew in the end that marrying Al later on will actually go well, and their love will last as he could feel it in every fiber of his being, and so his sadness of leaving behind the only life that he;d ever had would not last long.
Alfred also knew that he'd still be able to visit his family often and that that will go well too, but nerves and the potential of things going awry left him nervous often enough.
