Yeah...I have no idea where this came from. At all. I hope you guys like it, I don't know how I feel.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
The bride was beautiful, the smile on her lips unmistakable and the tears welling her eyes like little shining stars. The light made them look like the diamond, the one that he would place on her finger. The family was mesmerized, her father unable to take his eyes off her. He wasn't quite ready to let her go.
The bridesmaids were looking on in awe, tears in their eyes too. Men from all around smiled at Jim, wasn't he a lucky guy.
When the wedding march played, it softly bumped her ears, reminding, remembering. This was her wedding. She was marrying Jim. Jim. Jim.
The flower girl was letting the petals fall, trickling to the ground before taking her seat and watching the two of them. They seemed so in love, maybe. Maybe is was the look on the brides face, maybe it was the nervous look on his. He seemed in love, that's what they said, afterwards and at the reception. He was in love, when he twirled her and whispered in her ear, his warm breath making her silver hoops sway.
When he dipped her unexpectedly, she let out a little giggle, the one he had learned to love.
But that happened afterwards. Now, at the actual ceremony, he was watching her father give her a kiss on the cheek, a tiny "I love you" coming off his lips. She smiled. "I love you too Daddy." It wasn't the kiss that got them, it ws the way he didn't want to quite let go, not just yet. She gave him the smile. The one that said "Don't worry." It was the smile that made him let her reach the altar.
He looked so happy, looking her in the eyes. Whether is was false or real was for him and only him to judge, but the family was certain he was a goner for her. Oh, he knew what it was like to be a goner.
Maybe, he knew what it was like, but he thought that he was for her, but nobody really knew. They just saw his eyes, and they said 'Marry me."
When the rings arrived, hers was silver, a diamond just the right size. He was sure it was her he was thinking of when he bought it, but his heart was singing words of somebody else's name.
But he slipped it on her finger anyways, she let a few tears fall and he gave her a lopsided smile. "I do." he said. "I do." She said. The kiss was spectacular, she was dipped for the first time that day, but not to be the last. The squeal of surprise and the way he held her, she wouldn't fall. Never, he wouldn't let it happen. He loved Karen, that's what he told himself.
Pam smiled with everyone else, in her pew, next to Oscar and Angela. Never, not in a million years, did she think she would wish he would say "I don't."
Surprise ending? Not? Tell me what you think. Please. Review. Please.
