Devastated

A/N: MC is returning to life? *GASP* for this very, very short oneshot.

Anyway, sorry for imitating the dead and if I have any readers left I'll submit some more fics.

This is pretty crappy though…

Smoke plummeted upwards, swirling in a sinister fashion.

It was almost taunting him over the loss of the deceased angel.

"Charlie, Gloria is dead."

Silence on the other end. Bosley looked through the window at the remaining two angels.

They were holding each other, comforting each other.

What a pity Charlie would spare no comfort. No thought that the angels were anything but disposable.

"Then find another angel. It's hardly the end of the world, is it? They know what they're getting into."

Bosley disconnected, feeling sick. This whole business was messed up, particularly how Charlie didn't care for his angels safety and had a façade of caring, every time he called the office.

It was his job to make sure the angels never found out the truth.

.

Bosley exited the building, nearly coughing as he was hit by smoky air. How ironic, he thought, how the angels would inevitably end up with such unholy deaths of murder.

He offered out his arm, which Kate leant on.

"How's Charlie?" Abby asked, voice wavering. Mascara and eyeliner down her face, she looked a mess. Kate didn't look much better. Losing people close to you hurt you the most, as Bosley knew well.

Bosley selected his words carefully, knowing the truth would only make things worse.

"Devastated."

He decided to reinforce the lie with something a little more convincing.

"Losing an angel… is his worst nightmare. It's mine, too."

Seeing Abby and Kate's faces, Bosley was glad that at least part of it was the truth.

Someone had to care for the angels.
