Author/Banshee Queen: "Basically a poem on the three brides, Verona, Marishka, Aleera & how they have sworn to stand by/love their Master, the kind of lives they've made with him & how they live it out etc. It's nothing much, just a bunch of words that ryhme together that tell a short story."

Disclaimer: "No I do not own any characters etc. even though I haven't mentioned their names, only 'Master'. I don't own Van Helsing."

This Life Which We've Sworn To

Our Master we honour you

And pledge forever more to do,

Your will, your command

You need not demand

X

For centuries more we've stood by your side

And stood defiantly filled with pride,

This world could not take

What we set out to make

X

All it took, was one single kiss

Each of us caught in eternal bliss,

And we knew from then on

No matter if you were wrong,

We had someplace where we felt we belonged

X

Our beautiful children who born dead from love

Were certainly not sent from above

With time and with care

We created a lair

Cold, perilous and dark,

This was no lark

No foolish game

We are not normal dames

This nest for our offspring

We knew that it would bring,

Fresh blood for our feeding

More wounds and more bleeding,

More flesh we could tear

More flesh we could rip

And the blood from our mouths just goes drip drip drip drip

X

This life which we've sworn to

We've done more than coo-coo

Our love for you Master, it is so pure

And forever more for you, we will endure

Your love and affection

And at one mention,

Of love and of lust

We know we can trust

This life we've created

And of how we have mated

X

We honour your presence

We honour your life

And each of us in turn are glad we are wives,

To the great Count Dracula

The most spectacular

Supernatural being

What's this I'm hearing?

X

A mortal's distress

Oh look what a mess,

There's blood all over her lovely blue dress

And as she goes' fainting

We know you'll be waiting

Our master, our love

Watching from up above…
