Oz's POV

'This is great!' I almost screamed inside my head as I walked through the crowded hallway of the school building. 'My first assignment!'

I had received said assignment two days ago. Though it is a well known fact that humans have am everlasting battle of good and evil within their souls, what I'm doing here is a much lesser known fact. The world is calm and peaceful when there is balance between the two, so for the most part we angels just sit and watch, but when the amount of negative energy in a single place disrupts that balance we have to get involved to find the cause of the energy, and fix it, before things get out of hand.

So, now that you know, you'll understand why I'm so excited. This is my first time intervening in earthly matters! There were repeated reports of things like theft, fights, accidents, even rape coming in, but they all involved students or teachers from this particular school, which is why I'm here.

'Okay! Let's check our priorities list, number one get a position of student power within the school, check, I'm on the student council. Number two try to act normal, check, I've made friends with several of the girls in my year, and finally always keep a look out for anything unusual!' I thought, as I mentally went through my plan for the millionth time today. I already had a feeling that today would be the same as always.

'Nothing much really happens around here, does it? I'm sure today will be just the sa-' my thoughts were cut off when a cloud of unpleasant smelling smoke was blown right into my face. I looked up (because I'm a just a tiny, little bit on the short side) to determine where said smoke had come from. I was greeted with something rather... unexpected.

He was tall... shaggy, black hair, and utterly contrasting bright eyes. A goldy-yellow colour. Black leather trousers, and a completely skintight t-shirt for some punk band. And a cigarette held between his teeth, slightly to the right of his mouth. In one word. Breathtaking.

'What!? What am I thinking? This is a delinquent, who needs discipline, not some cute girl!'

Gilbert's POV

'Another shitty day, with the same shitty people...' I thought to myself, while a crowd of stupid, bitches walked by. Days like these make me wonder why I left home. Just wanted to have some fun. A little entertainment to kill some of the endless time demons are granted.

'God, I need a smoke...' I reached into my pocket and squeezed the open pack that I'd bought a couple of days ago.

'Might as well... I mean, like who the fuck's gonna try and stop me!'

I pull one out of the pack, and slip it between my teeth while I bring my lighter up to the end of the cigarette. I inhale and let the smooth flavour pass my mouth and into my lungs. I exhale slowly. Feeling instantly better and more relaxed. Especially when I see that I've blown the smoke right into some kids face. Stupid kid.

I go back to smoking, until I hear the whiney little shit yelling at me.

"You are not allowed to smoke on school property! I'm going to have to report you." He said in that little girl voice.

'How old is this kid anyway? Like twelve?' I thought as I studied his features. He had a big head. In comparison to the rest of his body I mean. With neatly combed, fresh cut, short blonde hair. His eyes were large and childlike, with long blonde eyelashes, his nose was small and turned up slightly at the tip. His mouth was fixed in a light pout as he looked up at me. He was... kinda cute. But all that aside, he was trying to get between me and my cigarette. You don't do that unless you want to have a broken nose for three weeks!

"You seem like a good little brat..." I said in a low tone. "So why don't you just run along?" I gave him a gentle shove in the direction away from myself, hoping he would leave me to smoke in peace. But I have never been more wrong in my life...

"Um, excuse me, but I am a member of the student council. So if I tell you to do something you had better do it." He got all flushed, and pouty. Acting like he's superior or something, the nerve of that little shit.

"Hey, and when I want or care about your opinion, I'll give you a call how about that?" I threw back at him with a sarcastic tone. This really made him mad. He just reached up (cuz he's a short ass) and took the cigarette right out of my mouth, then stood on it. He gave a satisfied huff, then turned to leave.

'What the hell!? Who the fuck does that shit think he is!?' I reached out and gave him a firm shove on the back, and much to my delight, he fell over forwards and dropped all his books. I leaned back against the wall, and would've been perfectly fine for the rest of the day, had it not been for the little sobs coming from him.

'What the fuck? Is he crying?' I looked down and confirmed my suspicions. There were little tears dripping off of his face. I sighed.

'This is the last thing I need...'
