Hoshitani and Otori are on the roof, laying down and looking up at the sky, hand in hand. They've been dating for awhile now. However, they still hardly know anything about each other.
"Ne, can you tell me something you've never told anyone before, senpai?" Hoshitani asks, eyes full of curiosity. Otori responds, looking into his kohai's eyes, "You first." Hoshitani glares a bit, "No, you first." Otori's eyes glares right back, "No no. You first, I insist." "No no no. You first."
They both glare at each other for a bit. 'So that's how he's going to play it, huh,' they both think at the same time. Sitting up, hands separated, they continue to glare at each other, waiting for either one of them to crack. Unfortunately, the bell rings, and they had to go to class. 'This isn't over!'
The next day, they meet at the roof again, completely silent. After awhile, Otori speaks up, "How about a deal?" Hoshitani tilts his head, "I'm listening." "We take turns telling each other our secrets. However, if you want to keep something to yourself, the penalty is a kiss," Otori explains. Hoshitani blinks, then nods, "I accept those terms."
Otori smiles, "I'll go first since this was my idea. Hm… My favorite place is the outdoor stage." Hoshitani smiles, "What a coincidence. It's my favorite place too. " 'It's mainly your fault though.' Otori says, "On my day off, I walk a dog for an elderly couple in my neighborhood. Would you like to come with me sometime?" Hoshitani stiffens a bit before answering, "I have zoophobia. I can handle insects fine though." Otori shrugs, "Oh well." Hoshitani stutters, "B-But, if I'm with you, I-I can endure it." Otori smiles, "I'm looking forward to it then." Hoshitani asks, "What about middle school, did anything happen?" Otori raises an eyebrow, then kisses him on the lips.
Hoshitani blinks, "OK then. On my day off, I go out since I can't sit still at home. Plus, I need more than 8 hours of sleep. I literally can't stand if I can't sleep." Otori nods, "How do you handle stress? I believe having a moderate amount actually helps." Hoshitani rubs the back of his neck, "I'm usually not stressed. If I am, I sleep it off." Otori raises an eyebrow. 'Really?' "Ne, do you have any weaknesses? I already told you mine," Hoshitani asks. Otori just kisses him again. Hoshitani sighs, "Understood. I'm good at origami. Can I show you sometime?" Otori nods.
Hoshitani smiles brighter, "OK! Favorite mode of transportation? I like trains best. Also, I have a great eye for detail." Otori smiles back, "I prefer buses. What are you confident in?" "My running. I was No.1 in both elementary and middle school. You?" "My existence." Hoshitani sweat-drops, 'Seriously?' "Can I call you Yuta?" Otori asks. Hoshitani blushes, "Y-yeah. You can even call me Yu-chan if you want, but only if I can call you Itsuki." Otori smiles, "OK, Yu-chan!" Hoshitani blushes brighter, "Itsuki-senpai…" Now it's Otori's turn to blush. "I've been meaning to ask this but, did you follow me here just to dance with me?" Otori asks seriously. Hoshitani kisses Otori this time, surprising him, "You already know the answer to that." Otori smiles at him afterward, "I guess I do. Want to know another secret?" Itsuki-senpai leans in, lips barely touching Yu-chan's. "I like you," they say at the same time before their lips meet in a chaste kiss, smiling into it.
Then, they set up a date for tomorrow. Particularly to a café, in which they'll discover each other's favorite foods and drinks. They also promise not to tell anyone else about their secrets, especially, not to kiss and tell if they can help it.
