Forgiveness and Judgment

Draco Malfoy fixed his tie and looked at himself in the mirror. No matter how much he despised Muggle clothing, there he was, dressed in a full on suit. He sighed at his reflection, not liking how the suit made him look at all, and left the room only to be greeted with none other than Harry Potter.

"I don't know what you're playing at, Malfoy," he said in an icy tone, he was dressed in almost identical clothing with a frown etched on his face.

Draco sighed, "I'm not playing at anything, Potter."

"I don't believe you," Harry said simply, crossing his arms over his chest that made him look immature.

"I don't care what you believe," Draco said hotly, walking past the annoying boy who lived and into the Gryffindor common room. Everyone that was in the room turned to stare at the unwanted Slytherin in their common room and Draco couldn't help but feel even more disliked then he was before the war ended.

Finally, after waiting what seemed like forever, Hermione Granger walked down the Gryffindor Dorm steps. The dress she had on was a beautiful shade of purple and was slim fitting until about her hips then it puffed out, sparkles all along the bottom of it. Draco smiled at his girlfriend of over a year and offered his arm which Hermione gratefully took with a grin plastered on her face.

After the war, Draco finally had the courage to ask Hermione out on a date, telling her the truth about how he felt about her and how he hated every single time he had to call her a mudblood. Reluctantly, Hermione cautiously accepted and once Hogwarts was re-built they both went back to finish their N.E.W.T year.

That night, Draco had planned a romantic date, after persuading Headmistress McGonagall to let them leave the castle for their two year anniversary which luckily was on a Friday night. They walked down to the point of apparation and Draco gracefully apparated the two of them to the annual Christmas Ball Hermione was whining about not being able to make this year. With a huge grin on her face, she dragged Draco to the dance floor and the two of them danced until their feet were sore.

"Come on, let's get out of here," Draco said with a smirk that Hermione knew all too well, he was up to something.

"Okay," Hermione said cautiously, letting Draco guide her for the door. The two walked hand in hand until Hermione saw where Draco was taking her. A few feet away was a amusement park Hermione used to go to as a kid. The two of them pasted the Merry-Go-Round and went straight for the Ferris wheel, Draco charmed it to go to the top and the two of them looked over the town in silence, snowflakes falling down on their heads, making the night seem perfect.

"Hermione?" Draco said, still not taking his eyes off the horizon.

"Yeah?" Hermione answered with a smile, looking at Draco with her big blue eyes.

"I love you." Draco began, turning to her nervously, "Being in love means never having to say you're sorry, and I've apologized five million times about our days at Hogwarts, and I think you forgive me. I mean, you don't seem so cautious anymore, and what I'm trying to say is… Will you marry me?"

"Yes," Hermione said breathlessly, looking at the ring Draco had stretched out in his palm. The two shared a kiss so full of passion and so full of love neither would forget it, or the night it was shared for a long time.
