Chapter 1: The Pale Steed
Max Tennyson was an elderly man, somewhere in his late sixties. His dark brown eyes showed strain in them as he read over several reports as he sat on a bunk bed in the Rustbucket, an old R.V. He placed the reports down as he rubbed his temples in frustration.
" Another murder again? And this one also has his head missing…. I hope it's not what I think it is….it's just a legend…" Max muttered to himself as he looked out the front window of the R.V. It was night time, dark clouds covering the full harvest moon, it's shining it's eerie light on the town of Bellwood. " Ben and Gwen need to do this mission…" Max suddenly froze, his body tense as he suddenly felt a dark presence make itself known.
It was angry and full of malice, the air became thick as a cold blast of air suddenly whipped past Max. "It can't be…" Max breathed when he saw the specter that had created the disturbance.
There were two specters actually. One was a very large, pale horse that stood at about twenty hands high, or seven feet high. The horse had a silvery mane and tail that was billowing and blowing in the cold breeze. A feature on the horse's face stood out that startled Max: the horse's eyes were a blazing red, staring cruelly at him as his nostrils flared as he let out a shriek as he reared up, but his rider was missing as the specter transformed itself to dust, disappearing into the wind as it's body faded away as quickly as it appeared.
Max blinked his eyes a few times as he sat down again, his heart beating rapidly within his chest " It can't be… but I saw his stead with my own eyes…" Max said with terrified amazement.
" The Horsemen is back…"
