Clint unlocked the door to his apartment, walked in, turned on the lights and collapsed in the couch. His mission left him exhausted and sore and ready for a good, long nap. He wondered whether he should eat, sleep or shower first. Slipping his quiver off of his back, he noticed a shadowy figure sitting on the armchair in the corner and was about to let loose an arrow before realizing who it was. "Jeez, Tasha, I almost didn't recognize you with the new hair." Clint say back on the couch and massaged his temples. "Just trying something new," she mused. "Didn't you have anything better to do while I was gone?" Natasha smirked. Oh, she had had many things to do while Clint was on his solo mission in the Alps. "I think I might go back to leaving it curly." Clint smiled. They both knew that he thought curly hair suited her better. He walked to the pantry to see if there was anything to eat that hasn't spoiled yet. "Anything life-threatening happen while I was gone?" The spy smirked. "Just the usual. Let's see, there was Fury's assassination-" Clint choked on the chips he had found. "What?" "-a manhunt for us, kissed Steve, broke into his old military training camp, found a Nazi in a computer, had fascinating philosophical debates about freedom vs. security, almost died, figured out HYDRA has been operating inside of SHIELD since its founding, had a squabble with the Winter Soldier who is still very much alive, almost died again, found Fury who also isn't dead, exposed HYDRA, almost died multiple times, destroyed the Helicarriers, and basically got rid of SHIELD. Oh and Fury ditched the eyepatch." The bag of chips fell to the floor and Clint blinked slowly. He walked over to his partner and squinted at her. "Hold up, you kissed Steve?" Natasha gave him a smug look. "Yeah, he's a bit out of practice. I better set him up with someone who can help him improve." "You kissed him!" "Oh calm down." She stood up and approached him, the light glinting off the arrow necklace she still hadn't taken off since he had given it to her. "It was no where near as enjoyable as kissing you." And with that, she closed the space between them and brought their lips together like they had wished for for months. She held on to him tightly, threading her fingers through his short hair and letting the other hand fall to caress his neck and grip the front of his uniform. Clint pulled her close to him and stroked her cheek. It felt so good to finally see her after months of staring at targets through the scope of his rifle. Not even using his favorite bow was as pleasurable as this. When they broke apart, they were breathing heavily, too tired to care about anything else. Clint rested his forehead on Natasha's. "I missed you." "I missed you too."
