Fullmetal Alchemist: Brothers

A poem inspired by the English version of 'Brothers' which is sung Vic Mignogna. The structure and rhyming scheme may sound familiar but I've changed the words and kept the melody so that's why they fit in the song.

Edward

How can you love me brother mine?

When all you got was that shell

I was so obsessed

So I shed our blood, and gave the both of us hell

Though I knew the laws, I paid no heed

I did not recognize the weight of the deed

It left me without an arm or leg

But now you cannot breath

Our Beautiful Mother,

Soft and sweet, once she was gone

We couldn't find peace

Back through the years

To our treasured youth

I was too blind to see

I know how can I make amends for all that I took from you?

To get the Philosopher's Stone

You know there's nothing I wouldn't do

Alphonse

Don't weep for the past now, brother mine

To see her smile we dreamed the same

All we were taught was ignored

And all that we got was maimed

Oh dear Father

Cold and distant, once you were gone

He became embittered

Back through the years

I reached for you

Alas, t'was not meant to be

My dreams made me blind and mute

And gave me this cold metal shell

I followed without a word

My brother, we must share this hell

Winry

So, where will you go from here?

To search across the land?

I'll give you an arm and leg

To give you a chance to stand

Fin

I hope you enjoyed, this was my first attempt at something like this so I hope people liked it. Please review it if you did and even if you didn't I'd love to hear your opinion so I can grow as a writer. I'll try and make something else soon!
