Batman/Iron man Crossover
Part one
Written by Sam Morton
"So all is set to go, right?" The bald man asked through the shimmering veil. His face stern and focused, his eyes radiated power. Dressed in his more formal power suit, he reaches over to one of his cufflinks to adjust them ever slightly. Enough for such a man of his standards to notice though. In the background was his office, just a plain metal desk in front of towering tall windows that showed off the illustrious Metropolis.
"Yes yes, all is in place. You worry too much Lex." says the man on the other side of what Norman calls his "Looking Glass". Brandy in hand and a roaring fireplace to his back, he also is dressed in his business power suit, hair slicked back.
Glaring, Lex places his hands behind his back. " I do not worry about the plan Norman, for my great intelligence was used to make this scheme of yours possible."
Walking to his giant tank of sharks and peering into the dark waters Lex places his hand on the glass. "I'm not usually sentimental but I do hope my sharks survive."
"I am sure they will Lex, with how this dimensional rift is supposed to work, whatever is in the designated area will be ported to the other side." Norman walks to the fireplace and pokes the flames of the dying logs. "I have an inquiry though, why the different city than the one you live in now?"
"I'd rather not be stopped by the boy scout. He seems to show up in the exact wrong times. Changing cities should hopefully throw him off"
"Lets hope so. If this "superman" is as powerful as you have said then his appearance could upset things. Gotham City is an easier place." Drinking the rest of his drink, he puts away his poker and sets the empty glass down on his desk on his way to the Looking Glass. Staring at Lex his manor becomes more serious if that would be possible.
"I have hired two associates to be there upon your arrival. They are there for…protection should my do gooders show up to stop us."
"I have an associate or two showing up as well for you if the need should arise."
Pouring himself another drink, Norman raises his glass to Lex.
"To the future of our future."
Lex calmly turns to look at Norman and just nods, turning his veil off. In the next 5 hours, he will be in another world, to start anew.
Standing on the opposite tower, using only his enhanced hearing, Superboy listens to the conversation in the Lexcorp tower. This seems pretty rough and it looks like he will need backup.
