A loud banging on the door of her dorm accompanied by the ever too cheerful voices of her two best male friends drew Alex from the best sleep she has had in ages.
She stalked over to open the door for Bear and Jordan, avoiding the myriad of objects decorating her floor as she went.
"It's seven o'clock on a Saturday morning, why on Earth are you one, knocking on my door, and two so cheerful. Honestly your mood is a little concerning." Alex said by way of greeting as she walked back over and slumped not too gracefully onto her bed.
"You know Alex you should be grateful," Jordan said following after her, with Bear close behind.
"Grateful?"
"Yeah, Jordan's right, you should be grateful. You have two of the best friends in the world, two friends who make a great effort to wake you up so you don't waste the day sleeping,"
"And of course, we don't want you to miss breakfast, that would be an awful start to anyone's day." Jordan added, causing Alex to roll her eyes quite dramatically.
"You know if you cleaned up then it wouldn't be so hard to find things Alex," Jordan nodded vigorously in response to Bear's statement, the two of them watching on as Alex threw things on the floor and across her desk in search of her missing sock.
Her search taking her to scrambling underneath her bed, "well I…. have been a little…. preoccupied recently… so cleaning my…. room…. hasn't exactly been high on my… priority list… AHA! Found It!" Alex breathlessly replied as she strained to find the sock.
"That may be so," Bear conceded, "but it wouldn't hurt to tidy just a little. Hey it might even help knowing that some part of your life is orderly." The glare Alex shot him was incredibly telling, but he just grinned at her until she rolled her eyes and got to her feet again.
"Come on Alex you know we are right, A is for organisation." Jordan said encouragingly.
Silence descended between the three of them as Alex and Bear directed raised eyebrows Jordan's way as he sat there completely content with his statement.
Incredulous, and somewhat questioning her friend's sanity, Alex blurted out "according to WHAT alphabet?"
"Honestly, I don't really know but it made sense in my head." At Jordan's admission the three friends burst out laughing.
"You two are idiots"
"In our defense," Bear began "we were already aware of that."
"Admit it, you love us."
In response Alex tossed a pillow at Jordan's head prompting a full-on pillow fight between the three friends, resulting in them sprawled across Alex's bed laughing so hard they had tears streaming down their faces.
