After being accepted into Beacon by Professor Ozpin, Enter Ruby Rose. A young boy with black hair fading into red that stopped at his at the base of his neck. He was short and he wore a black tank top under his long red cape, black pant red pants with medium length red and black tie-up boots, and a belt where there was a silver rose placed on it. He had arrived to the getting off the airship that took him and many others there. His silver eyes glimmered with excitement as he glanced around to explore the new surrounding of the school grounds.
His heart pounded with exhilaration as he darted past the students at a sonic speed. His mouth uttered with squeaks that shown his pleasure of being there. His red cape fluttered into the wind, with his scythe tucked away and his ammo attached to his belt. He never knew that school could be so cool and fun!
He might been a little too excited because he found himself, bumping into a blonde hair girl with a long braid. She had blue eyes and she wore chest plate and shoulder pad. She had one a black and white hoodie underneath with blue jeans and a pair of high top sneakers.
"Oh my gosh! I'm sooo sorry!" Ruby apologized.
"No, it's fine, I should have been more careful." The girl responded.
Ruby had helped her up and proceed to dust her off, before standing in front of her again. He checked to make sure he didn't leave any bruises or anything. He felt guilty because he had no intentions of knocking someone over on his first day of school. The blonde haired girl sighed as she seemed to be having a rough day herself, she smiled at the new boy she met that still seemed to be worried about her.
"Are you sure?" Ruby asked. "I didn't break anything or hurt you or-"
"No, I'm really fine, but thank you," The girl told him.
"Well, that's great!" The young boy beamed. "My name is Ruby Rose by the way!"
"I'm Jauna Arc." The girl told Ruby. "Nice to meet you, Ruby."
"So, where are you headed?" Ruby asked.
"Oh, well…that is…" Jauna began to fidget her fingers. "I'm kind of lost…"
"Well, I guess we can just walk around until you find where you need to be!" Ruby suggested.
"Really? You'll do that for me?!" Jauna asked.
"Of course, that'll means we'll be friends!" Ruby beamed.
"Wow, my first friend! This is going to be better for me then!" Jauna smiled.
Ruby and Jauna continued to walk together as they chatted, they stopped because they saw a large crowd of students, mostly girls. They were screaming as if a celebrity walked on campus, which in most cases, there was. Ruby and Jauna had no clue what was going on. They decided to check it out and they can hear the chants of the squealing girls in the crowd.
"Oh my god, he's here!" A girl cried out.
"It's the Ice Prince!" Another cried.
"Ice Prince?" Ruby and Jauna asked.
"Who is the Ice Prince?" Ruby asked.
"You don't know him?" A girl asked in surprise.
Both Jauna and Ruby had shook their heads in response, but they soon got their answer as the Ice Prince, himself, had arrived on campus. A taller male with snow white hair and piercing icy blue eyes, had made his way on the campus. He was dressed in white suit jacket with red lining on the inside, white dress pants which the bottoms were tucked into his long, white designer boots. As Ruby's gaze fell on the Ice Prince, he felt his chest tightened. His heart began to feel a warm and exciting sensation. Something he never felt before. His knees felt weak and his cheeks were flustered. He never thought a man was so beautiful in his life!
'Wait! Did I just think he was beautiful?!' Ruby thought to himself.
"Oh, that's Weiss Schnee!" Jauna stated. "That's the heir of the Schnee company!"
"Weiss…Schnee…" Ruby muttered.
"Um, Ruby are you okay? Your face is really red." Jauna pointed out.
"I-It is?" Ruby asked flustered.
"Maybe we should get out of the sun for a bit…" Jauna suggested.
"G-Good idea!" Ruby said nervously.
Ruby took one final glance at the Ice Prince, but he couldn't get him out of his mind. Nor did he want to stop looking a way at him. Is this what people called this feeling love? Ruby wasn't sure, but he knew he had to see him again. Ruby and Jauna found a tree near the courtyard to sit down and relax. Jauna sighed as she laid her back on the grass and gazed up at the sky.
"Wow, today is such a long day!" Jauna yawned.
Ruby didn't respond still lost thinking about his new Ice Prince in his mind. He never thought he be fascinated by a man. But this man looked elegant and beautiful. Jauna called to Ruby before Ruby had snapped back to earth. Jauna looked concerned for her new friend as she wonder what was on his mind.
"Ruby, you okay?" Jauna asked. "You've been spaced out all this time."
"Oh, sorry, I was just thinking about someone…" Ruby admitted.
"Hm? Like in what way?" Jauna asked.
Ruby pondered if he should tell Jauna or not about his new fascination with the Ice Prince. Ruby sighed as he gazed at the ground. He felt like it was hopeless. Besides, there is no way if they'll have the same classes or is in the same grade even. There is a possibility he'll never meet him at all! The thought itself brought the cheery Ruby down in the dumps for a moment.
"Oh… it's not important." He lied.
"Well, maybe we should head to the main hall to get settled since we all have to meet there anyway." Jauna smiled.
"Okay…" Ruby agreed. "So, where is the main hall anyway?"
"Er…I thought you might have known?" Jauna said nervously.
Later that evening, Jauna and Ruby managed to find their way into the main hall. There, Ruby spotted her elder brother, Yang who was surrounded by girls. Yang was much taller, he had short, curly blond hair and purple eyes. He had on his yellow t-shirt with a flame symbol on it and he had on orange sweatpants. 0Ruby huffed considering Yang ditched him for girls as usual. Yang was chatting away while Ruby was glaring at him with his arms were crossed. He was wearing a black shirt with rose on it and his pants were red. Yang felt the cold stare of his younger brother before he welcome him with open arms and pulled him in a playful headlock.
"Well, well, if it isn't my little bro," Yang grinned.
"Yang…" Ruby huffed as he struggled to get out of Yang's grasp.
Yang was strong like their father, it matches his semblance which is brute strength, compared to his own where he rely on his speed. Ruby finally gotten out of Yang's grasps, as he frowned and was ready to lecture him.
"Yang, you was supposed to wait for me and show me around!" Ruby huffed.
"Oh, sorry Rubs," Yang said with a sheepish laugh. "I was waiting for you and something came up…"
"Girls? Again?" Ruby rolled his eyes.
"But they were cute, maybe I can give a few of their number to you, I know one just around your age-"
"Ew, no thanks, Yang," Ruby declined.
Ruby shook his head as he wondered why he had such a womanizing older brother. Yang rolled his eyes as he played with his scroll and messaged someone. He turned to Ruby before wrapping his arm around his shoulder.
"Listen, I'll make it up to you little bro…" Yang told him.
"There is nothing you can do for me to make up for ditching me!" Ruby huffed.
"That's a same, I have some of Dad's homemade cookies from home…" Yang said in a false sad tone.
Yang had pulled out his bag a tin can which he opened and it contained their father's cookies. Ruby's silver eyes lit up as he heard the word cookies and gaze upon the glorious prize. He clings onto Yang's as he had the most child like expression. Though he looked more like a puppy begging for a treat. His small heads would reach for the tin.
"Cookies! Gimme!" Ruby whined.
"No way, you said you didn't want them!" Yang teased.
"I changed my mind! Please give me some!" Ruby begged.
Yang ran away with the tin can and Ruby chased after them, while he was running he bumped into someone. That someone was no other than the Ice Prince! Ruby's cheeks darked at the sight of the handsome boy before him. His piercing icy, blue eyes was staring down at him with a very intimidating gaze. Ruby wanted to speak, but he felt his tongue getting twisted for some reason.
"I-I'm s-s-sorry." Ruby squeaked.
"What are you a child?" Weiss told him. "Running around like that. I never knew that Beacon accepted children."
"I-I'm not a child!" Ruby protested.
Weiss's eyes wandered from his height to his attire. A small taunting smile had formed on his lips, he even let out a laugh in scorn. Weiss had dusted himself off, he was wearing a designer pajamas made of silk. He wore white slippers that also seemed expensive. Ruby couldn't believe that he was meeting face to face with the guy of his dreams again! It had to be fate.
"Since you apologize, I'll let it slide, but I rather not see your face again." Weiss said coldly.
Weiss had took his leave into the crowd, Yang who saw the entire thing had went over to Ruby, whose face was scarlet red and hot all over. Ruby couldn't believe he spoke to him, he was in shock. Yang not aware of the situtation, his expression turned to protective one as he went over to the white haired male who just insulted his little brother.
"Hey, you!" Yang called out.
He rushed over and grabbed him by the front of his shirt. Weiss narrowed down coldly at the blond hair boy before him. Ruby felt his heart sinking, Yang can't get in a fight with Weiss of all people!
"Can I help you?" Weiss asked.
"Yeah, I want you to apologize to my little brother!" Yang demanded.
"I suggest you get your hands off of me," Weiss answered. "This is an expensive cloth and you're going to get it wrinkled and filthy…"
"What did you just say to me?!" Yang growled.
Uh oh, Ruby had to stop Yang. When Yang get worked up like that, he had no hesitation of getting into a fight. Ruby rushed between the two of them as he broken the close gap between the two. Ruby's eyes gazed at Yang with a soft desperation.
"Yang, let's just forget about it," Ruby said. "After all I did bump into him, I apologized so let's get going!"
"Better listen to the little shrimp, it wouldn't be wise to pick a fight with a Schnee," A voice said from the corner where they stood.
The three of them had turned their gaze to a boy who wore a purple and black yukata like male pajamas and in his hand was a book. He had vivid amber eyes which was glued to the book he was reading. He had a scarf over head with his black strands sticking out from the bottom. His stoic eyes didn't seem really interested in the chaos that was going on.
"See, there is someone here with common sense," Weiss gloated.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending you, Mr. Schnee," The male stated. "I'm just trying to enjoy my book and all of you are being too loud, so I suggest you be quiet."
Weiss gritted his teeth before he shot one more glare at Yang and Ruby before turning his head to the dark haired boy. Weiss could feel the stares and hear the mutters of the other students in the room and didn't want to draw anymore attention. He decided to leave the matter alone for the time being.
"Fine, but I'm warning you," Weiss turned to Yang and Ruby. "I won't forget this in the very least."
Weiss would then take his leave and disappear into the crowd where the rest of the students were. Ruby let out a sigh, this was a really great impression on the guy he had a crush had turned to the dark haired boy before flashing him a wide and sheepish grin.
"Sorry about that man," Yang apologized.
"Thanks for helping us out!" Ruby added.
"Don't mention it, seriously," The dark haired male said bluntly.
"Okay, then?" Yang shrugged. "Come on, Ruby, he clearly doesn't want our company."
"That book…" Ruby muttered. "I heard about the series, but I never thought someone would be into it."
"Oh… you've read the series?" The dark haired boy seemed interested.
"Well, I read the first book, but the other copies of the second one was sold out," Ruby admitted.
"I own the second copy, I love the author to this series," The boy admitted. "Maybe I'll let you borrow it."
"Y-You will? Seriously?!" Ruby's eyes brightened. "I'm Ruby by the way!"
"I'm Blake," The boy answered. "And you'll really love it when you read it."
Yang yawned due to the topic seemed boring, but he was glad that Ruby had someone he can warm up to. Yang lightly wrapped his arm around Ruby's shoulder as he grinned.
"D'aww look at you making friends already!" Yang teased.
"Yang! Cut it out! Geesh…" Ruby protested.
"Well, it's lights out," Blake said.
"Good night, Blake!" Ruby smiled.
Yang and Ruby was next to each other, Ruby couldn't be more excited due to his progress on the first day! But, he still had Weiss on his mind. He was so cold, yet he was drawn to him. Is this how people felt when they are in love? Ruby was determined to get close to Weiss and make him his boyfriend! But the question was…how can he possibly do that?
