No matter how much his temper flamed, he only touched her with the most gentle hands and intentions. She was a free spirit, he wanted everything to be to his likings, and if he disliked anything, Preston ( paintbrush obvi ) would explode. Leah ( lightbulb) and him were two totally different people.
And it was a wonder how the two blondes fell in love. She was usually a constant pain with her immaturity, but somewhere in her he found the smallest bit of attraction. Something very uncommon for him.
A constant gaze was felt on her, blonde, cropped hair swaying slightly as she turned to look at the other, tanner blonde. Whenever that happened, which was the case right now, blood would raise to her cheeks, causing a tint of red to form in contrast to her almost pale skin. As she continued to work on one of the team projects, Leah tried to suppress the smile that threatened oh so bad to come out.
Brown eyes never peeled off of her, only when it was completely necessary. Even though they were dating, he was still memorized by her, every giggle and laugh recorded in his brain, her smile coming to his mind whenever his temper threatened to flare on him.
It's been a few times prior that shes come over, or they've went on small dates that consisted of her speaking nearly ninety percent of the time. A few knocks on the door was enough to spike his attention, placing the last dish in one of the cupboards, he got about half way to the door before Leah almost barged in. Even though she got flustered in public with him, once privacy hit, she was like her own self. Small arms wrapped along his slimmer, longer torso, her head leaning on his shoulder. Preston- no surprise, didn't exactly return the same amount of affection back, even though he now loved her equally, or even more than Leah did.
Thin arms carefully wrapped around her torso, the extra fabric of the oversized, plain sweater pooling over his arms. A few minutes into the embrace, she finally pulled back. He was too scared to, in case he ever hurt her feelings. They'd spend the next few moments talking about what to do, if they should watch movies or go for a walk. The two decided on something simple. She'd pick a movie, waiting on the pullout couch as he went to the kitchen, cutting up multiple fruits and vegetables. Even making a smoothie. It was simple, but he knew how much she loved sweet, colourful things. His arms wrapped around her body, a warm sense of protection flowing though her body as she reached for a strawberry or piece of celery. And eventually, those few minutes in between turned into five minutes, then ten, and eventually she'd fall asleep. Leah was almost sleeping, fighting to stay awake. He sat up just a bit, hand caressing her cheek gently. A light smile stretched on her lips, not to forget the red that crept up on her cheeks.
Preston moved her hair behind her ear, warm fingers lingering gently on her skin like feathers. He placed a kiss on her lips, equally as soft as his fingers, and a even lighter, softer one on her forehead.
