"Hey, Danna, un! What do you think of my new creation? Flawless, right, un?"
"That's nice, Deidara…" Sasori muttered, not looking away from Hiruko's leg, which he was wrenching on.
"Danna, you're not even LOOKING, un!"
"What?" Sasori snapped, twisting his head all the way around (Exorcist style) and glaring at the missing Rock nin, who was holding up a large smooth ball of clay and grinning.
"Are you trying to be funny?" Sasori said angrily, swiveling his head back to return to his work.
Deidara's face fell, and he looked down at his armadillo, which had rolled itself up.
"Un…" Deidara uttered, crumbling up his armadillo and reworking the clay into something else. Preferably something that didn't roll up.
Ten minutes later…
"Sasori no Danna, un!"
Sasori sighed.
"What is it NOW, Deidara?!"
Unaffected, Deidara grinned again.
"THIS one is much better! Please, Danna, I want you to tell me what you think, un!"
Sasori begrudgingly turned around, glared at the miniature Panda in Deidara's hands, and shook his head.
"The proportion isn't right. Honestly, Deidara, you can't sculpt a mammal to save your life. Just stick with your birds…"
"Un…I...I see," Deidara said, his grin now rather fixed.
It took Deidara nearly an hour of hard work before he was ready to show his Danna his NEW creation…
"DANNA!"
"God damn it, Deidara!" Sasori yelled, getting up and stomping on the pair of (perfectly sculpted) rabbits.
"I don't care about your stupid clay! I really need to get Hiruko tuned up for our mission tomorrow, and you're not doing anything productive at all! In fact, you're counterproductive! I would have been done by now if it weren't for you!"
Sasori took a moment to breathe, glaring down at Deidara, who looked just as crumpled as his clay creations.
"You're worthless!"
Deidara got up then, looked down at the clay balled in his hands, and his watery eyes burned into Sasori's.
"Is that what you think, un? That I'm worthless?"
Sasori smiled darkly.
"Yeah."
"Un," Deidara responded and smeared the clay in Sasori's face.
"What the hell, you stupid blond!" Sasori sputtered, and smacked Deidara.
Deidara put his hand to his red cheek, tears spilling out of his blue eyes.
"Dei…I…I'm…"
But it was too late. Deidara ran out of the room before Sasori could apologize.
"Psh…he's so girly sometimes anyway…"
Sasori sat back down on the floor to work on his puppet, but he couldn't seem to concentrate now…
'Could I possibly be guilty?' Sasori thought.
'No…surely not…'
….
Deidara didn't return to the bedroom until around midnight. Sasori had put away Hiruko, and was now sitting in his bed, reading his latest issue of "Play Doll."
He looked up from his magazine of puppet porn and sighed when he saw that Deidara's eyes still looked red and puffy.
The puppet put down his magazine and hopped off his bed. He walked over to Deidara, who started sniffing.
"You're an asshole, un!" Deidara sobbed, and laid his head on Sasori's chest.
Sasori wrapped his arms around the blond and kissed the top of his head.
"I know…"
