"I like it when you smile…"
Summary: This is a oneshot about Wen and Olivia and how that scene at her house could have gone differently. Please review and this is my first fanfiction, so take it easy on me. But, do tell me what you think!
Disclaimer: I do not own Lemonade Mouth, Olivia, or Wen. I also do not own Bridgit Mendler or Adam Hicks (no matter how much I might want to). :)
This is the story of how I got my first girlfriend, Olivia White, from Lemonade Mouth, our band.
I was over at her house because Stella told me to come over so that we could write some songs for the Halloween Bash. Olivia had just scooted closer to me. She was so close that I could smell her strawberry shampoo and could feel her hair brushing my shoulder. "Here," she said, pushing her notebook in between us. I started playing on the piano app on my laptop. She began to sing,
"Trying hard to fight these tears
I'm crazy worried
Messing with my head this fear
I'm so sorry."
I began to sing along with her, and she gave me a smile,
"You know you got to get it out
I can take it
That's what being a friend's about…"
We both glanced at each other and trailed off. I got lost in her beautiful eyes. She smiled at me and looked down. I murmured, "I like it when you smile." I don't what possessed me to say that. She blushed and looked away. "Sorry," I said quickly hoping I didn't scare her off.
I heard her softly say, "It's okay."
I tentatively put my hand on top of hers, leaned closer, and said, "Actually…" She took in a sharp intake of breath, looked at our hands for a second, and turned to face me. She gasped when she saw how close our faces were. I decided to make my move, it was now or never. I took her lips in mine and pulled her closer to me. I felt her hands reach up around my neck as she slowly responded. My heart was soaring. I thought, "She's kissing me back! She must like me, too!" I faintly heard the sound of a throat clearing. Olivia and I broke apart blushing with huge grins on our faces. Her Gram was behind us holding the pitcher of lemonade.
"Do you guys want more lemonade?" she asked, with a smile.
Olivia spoke up, stuttering, "Uh…n-no th-thanks Gram we are u-uh o-okay…"
Her gram gave us another smile and replied, "I'll leave you two to your songwriting." Well, that was an awkward way to break the moment. I waited until her Gram disappeared back into the house. I smiled at Olivia.
"Uh, Wen? What was that?" Olivia asked shyly.
"A kiss?" I responded, freaking out inwardly.
"So, uh, does this mean we are together?" she questioned softly.
"I hope so," I said, smiling hopefully at her.
"Me too," she replied smiling back. We both now had big goofy grins etched on our faces. She grabbed my hand and leaned into me. I put my arm around her and pulled her closer. Out of the corner of my eye, over the top of Olivia's head, I could see her Gram peeking at us through the curtains. Her Gram saw me looking, gave me a wink, and closed the curtain. I always thought she was a nice lady. I looked back down at the top of Olivia's head on my shoulder and laid my head on top of hers.
This was the best day of my life, and the story of how I got my first girlfriend and my first kiss.
