Dream of the Sky
Across the plains and snowy mountains,
Through forests and vast sands.
My eyes are pointed forward,
My body follows mind's demand.
…
To keep on going faster,
To find new sights to see.
To be as swift as any dragon,
To set mind and body free.
…
The wind, it whistles in my ears,
Above me is the sun.
Or sometimes it is stars and moon,
Yet onwards I still run.
…
Beside, before, behind's my shadow,
Companion, all the while.
Ever onwards, faster still,
Greater is my smile.
…
I imagine flight as I press onward,
To move through air, not earth.
To soar free, defy gravity,
Not left stuck in the dirt.
…
But eventually the dream must end,
Time comes to head for home.
Even though I yearn to fly,
Across the world to roam.
…
But Carol, Milla, they're my friends,
Greater than any dream.
So now at last I'm homeward bound,
Yet still under sunlight's gleam.
