After The Last Petal
If you know anything about Beauty and the Beast then you know about his transformation at the end, and Belle's well deserved shock of it. But what you don't know is the story afterwards.
Chapter one
The transition after Adam's transformation was a bit more difficult than Belle imagined. To start with she had no idea it would happen. Imagine the shock when the love of your life starts levitating for no apparent reason. But let's begin with the weird sparks falling from the sky before his levitation… because that's not weird at all. After the horns and all the hair had disappeared she had to admit he wasn't bad on the eyes. He was still Adam at the core of his being. He still enjoyed her reading to him, having meals together and he even still used his silverware correctly.
The castle seemed a bit off as all the servants had been transformed back into their human selves. The first order of business was to replace some of the furniture. That was awkward to explain to the salesman. Belle had never seen so many people in one place and for them to wait on her hand and foot; it was almost exhausting. She enjoyed doing things for herself, like you know putting on her clothes. Her set of hands was more than enough. Anything more than that was just uncoordinated and usually ended up in a heap of clothes, multiple sighs, and a poor chamber maid that was trying her best to help. By the end of it Belle politely excused the maid and set about dressing herself. Of course her father was no help. After he moved in he'd practically taken over an entire wing with his inventions, trinkets, tools, and whatever he managed to talk the blacksmith out of. His hobbies and inventions seemed to expand to collecting tools with the random odds and end almost to the point of hoarding. While she expressed some concern Adam just chuckled and said to let it be that he was just excited. Besides that he was fascinated with what his future father in law would come up with next. One thing was for sure with Maurice around there was never a dull moment.
