This might not make since. It's just an idea I had.

I'll Never Forget You

David Silver walked around his house after hours of cleaning. David went up the stairs and saw his wife Donna with their two-year-old son Daniel. David and Donna got married two years after they graduated from college.

" Hey," David said.

" Hi," Donna whispered as she put the child into the crib.

" He's such an angel," David said.

" He is," Donna said.

" I'm going up to the attic," David said, " We haven't looked up there since we moved in."

" Need some help?" Donna asked.

" Maybe later," David said leaving the room and heading down the hallway.

David stopped at the end to look up the steps that lead to the attic. He then moved on and began looking through old boxes and trunks. The attic was small, but not small enough where you would bump your head on the ceiling. David rummaged through an old trunk that had papers, photographs, and articles that he collected over the years.

" Memories," he told himself, " I can't believe I kept all this junk."

David's eyes stopped though on an old framed photograph and he just blinked his eyes.

" Scott," David said.

He stared at the old photo for several more minutes and he felt tears come to his eyes. Scott was his best friend when he died in a tragic accident on his birthday.

" David," Donna called.

David looked up to see Donna staring at him.

" Are you okay?" Donna asked.

" Look," David said, " I almost forgot about this photo."

Donna looked at the photo to see the smiling faces of David and Scott.

" You should put the somewhere," Donna said, " You haven't forgotten Scott."

" Sometimes I feel like I have," David said, " I was so cruel to him."

" When he died though you were hurting so much," Donna said, " He was your best friend."

" In my heart he still is," David said, " I still miss him."

" Remember when we got married?" Donna asked.

" One of the best days of my life," David said.

" You kept looking up at the sky," Donna said, " I heard you say, ' Not bad hey Scott'".

David laughed.

" You see," Donna said, " He has never left you."

Then they heard crying.

" Daniel," Donna said, " Bring the photo downstairs."

David followed Donna downstairs and into the nursery.

" Daniel," Donna said picking up the child, " What's wrong?"

The child stopped crying and looked around.

" Another reason why you never forget Scott," Donna said, " This little guy. Daniel Scott Silver and the time capsule we placed."

David looked at the photo again, " I almost forgot about that," David said, " Years from now others will discover who Scott was."

Donna looked at an empty spot on the dresser.

" Put the photo there," Donna said.

David did and looked at it again.

" Let's go put on some lunch," Donna said, " I'm hungry."

Donna left the room with Daniel and David again looked at the photo.

" I miss you Scott," David said, " I haven't forgotten you and I never will."

David then left the nursery and headed downstairs.
