A/N: This drabble was born out of bitterness on New Year's Eve, when I was probably mad at something. Anyway, on to the angst!

"But… why? Why now of all times? We were…we were happy, weren't we?" Naruto gazed emotionlessly at his now former-girlfriend.

"I just— I just can't trust you anymore, Sakura. I love you, but, after what I saw between you and—"

"What you saw between me and Sasuke was nothing!" Tears slid down her face as she became more hysterical. A glimmer of sadness shone in Naruto's eyes for a millisecond before a blank, unattached, almost apathetic look to its place in a blink.

"Right," he said it out of confirmation, not agreement; he knew had been transpiring between them whenever he was away. The subtle hints were easy to figure out, even for him. Eventually, he just couldn't bear to stay oblivious to their little "meetings" anymore, and now knowing what he does, it had to end.

"Naruto, please! I told you it wouldn't happen again, I told you—" She was cut off by the lightning in the distance as the wind picked up, making her bubblegum-colored locks blow. The darkness of the park screamed in heat at the almost-tangible tension between the two. Naruto's eyes glazed over in deep-thought, and Sakura knew he was about to walk away—from her, from them, from what once was connecting them, and what will to be.

Taking a deep breath, she grasped the last card she thought she had, that would ultimately keep them together, or so she hoped.

She could barely speak through the tears that so wanted her to keep her thoughts to herself, subconsciously knowing it wouldn't end well, nothing she could say would change his decision. She knew this. Still, she thought. "I-I'm pr-pregnant," she said, choking through the words, hoping for the best.

Not speaking for a full two minutes, Naruto watched as Sakura wrapped cold, goose-bumped arms around herself. In those few moments the air in the park seemed to freeze, silencing all thoughts. The humidity increased, excreting that smell that hinted on impending rainfall.

"I know. I was wondering if you'd even tell me; considering it isn't even mine."

The thunder crashed like cymbals as lightning struck, brightening the entire sky as his words fell on hurt ears. "The baby was conceived in the middle of last month, and I was on a mission all last month. Tsunade didn't tell you because she knew about you and Sasuke, Sakura. I wasn't the only one who knew what was happening, besides, I've known you forever," at this he gave a half-hearted, sad, smile. "And I know you're terrible at lying."

Looking up at the sky in a way he knew a certain friend of his would, the blond stuffed his hands deep into his pockets, looking at the pink-haired girl in front of him. Her eyes were shielded by her bangs, but he could see the tear-tracks sliding down her face.

"Wha-What do I do?" It came out as a whisper, Naruto barely heard it. Turning away, he called the answer out over his shoulder.

"Tell Sasuke."
