My Little Story: Mamamu Yan

(From- Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time)

Oh, my life is perfect. Just me and my little pup, Richard. He just ever so loves being in my arms. The perfect mama's boy. He just loves to go outside almost as much as he loves me. Everyday I take him out to play. He always circles around me as I clap with the music playing by some mysterious musical troupe that I never seem to ever see. At times I look up to see a stray or two running around the town. Those disgusting mutts!

One day a boy in strange green clothes came up to me, I was caught at the moment of loathing the nearby strays that without a second thought I said to the young lad "My precious little puppy's fur coat is very special compared to the other mutts around here!" A proud smirk came to my face. The boy looked puzzled then departed on his way.

Wait! Where is Richard? Where has he gone? I put my hand to my forehead in attempt to block the sun a little to help me see my little boy but I couldn't see him anywhere! All day I looked everywhere but he was just nowhere to be found. The sun gone down and tears in my eyes I head back home.

That night out of the blue and no courtesy of knocking what so ever came in the boy in green. I was just in too much grief to be mad. All I wanted was Richard back. "I can't find my puppy anywhere! I need you to look for it! Please!" I begged the boy. I was desperate. He nodded and then left the house. Worry never left me for a second. How could it while my poor baby was out there alone in the dark.

A glimmer of hope. The boy returned but when he showed me the horrific dirty stray, I couldn't even believe my eyes. "Arrrgh! That is not my dog! How could you mix up my puppy with a mutt like that?!" The boy nodded and then left again. How could anyone mistake a dirty stray for my handsome Richard?

Time passed, I just couldn't sleep. Depression seeping in. Right when I was about to give up to the sorrow the boy returned yet again. As I spotted the dog behind him my heart leaped for joy. "Richard!" I yelled with tears of gladness. "This is my little Richard! Thank you! Thank you! I'll give this to you as a reward!" I looked in my purse and found a nice small glass heart gem. I just couldn't spared a rupee. Richard needs a good professional cleaning tomorrow after this long night. Thankfully the boy was content with that. He smiled as he held the gem up to the light. When he put the gem away he looked back at me.

"At night it's dangerous to go out with all the wild dogs around..." I told him. He looked back at me strangely. "No. I wasn't warning you! I'm worried about my puppy!" I said in a fluster. Of course I meant it being dangerous for my little boy. The lad in green looked up at me, nodded his head, and then left my house.

Everything was back to the way it was. A huge sigh of relief came over me. I looked over and saw Richard pawing the door whimpering. It must had been terrifying for him to be alone out there on his own. I walked over, picked him up, blew out the candle, and headed off to bed. No one's life could be ever as hard as mine was today. I took one more deep breath and then dozed off to sleep.
