Chapter One:
The vikings threw nets at the dragon as it flew past their island home. It was a beautiful best, really. But it couldn't live. Too big, too deadly, is what they'd say. Huh, yeah, right. Lunar Song was just a baby. Almost one year old in dragon time, but in human time, she was eighteen winters old. Born on the day of an eclipse, the last of her kind.
The Eclipsic dragons had been captured in Rome, and all of them decided to help their youngest to escape. The Night Furies also helped. After all, they wanted Lunar Song to carry a message to their son, Dark Fire, who was supposedly living alone on a viking island.
Lunar Song, or Luna (that's what her father calls her), was heading for what the other dragons called 'Berk'. Which is where Dark Fire, or now called Toothless is.
Luna was flying at a fast pace, faster than a Night Fury could fly. Her golden wings cut through the air like it was nothing, causing a ear-splitting screech whenever she broke the sound barrier. The Vikings, however, had heard her, and threw giant nets over her, causing one of her wings to be trapped to her side. She let out a screech as she plummeted to the sea, falling fifty feet into the water. The vikings stare at the sea, waiting to see if the dragon will resurface. Whenever it doesn't, they began to think they killed the unknown species.
But Luna was smarter than that. She swam under the surface, both wings at her side. She will not stop until she delivers her message to Toothless.
-Next Week-
Luna has been traveling for five weeks straight, never stopping, never getting that cursed net off her. But finally, she reaches Berk. She swims to the south side, not wanting to be seen, and attempts to change her form. After about ten times of trying, she gives up. Letting out a huff of frustration, Luna lays down on the soft sand. The golden dragon, worn out from traveling non-stop, sleeps for three days straight.
Luna is rudely awoken by the sound of Vikings. She opens her right eye, and is shocked to see a skinny little runt in front of her. Luna, in her shock, tries to fly away, latter to notice her right wing is trapped to her side. The skinny Viking tries to talk to her, but it is in vain, Luna is panicking now. She lets a torrent of flame burst from her mouth, right above the tree line. The golden dragon rushes through the woods, fully awake now. Not knowing that the Viking village was just ahead of her, Luna doesn't stop running. The Vikings let out shouts of surprise whenever the Eclipsic dragon comes barreling into their village.
Luna crashes into many houses, causing some of those Viking weapons to cut into her skin. Vikings of many shapes surround her, causing her panic to grow. They're going to kill me! The panicking dragon thinks. She lights her back and left wing of fire, hoping it will cause the vikings to run off in panic. But they don't. The skinny viking comes over to her, trying in vain to calm her down. Never do that to a panicking Eclipsic dragon. Luna swings her head around, knocking the boy off his feet.
Then she notices something. There are many other dragons around her. Staring at her in shock, along with the other vikings. Luna lets out a low growl, slowly backing away from them.
What are you doing?! She asks the other dragons around her. Why aren't you fighting these pests?!
A Night Fury, who is standing over the boy, says something that will probably shock Luna for the rest of her life. Because we live in harmony and peace with the Vikings, Lunar Song.
