Hermione Weasley wanted her nine year-old daughter, Rose Weasley to experience the muggle world and the wizarding world. Rose attends muggle school currently, but when she is old enough for Hogwarts, she will go there. Rose has to live her muggle life properly, she does her homework and her chores without magic, but she is still able to have magic in her life. She practices Quidditch with her cousins when she visits them, she uses Floo powder, and she does Side-Along Apparation. She gets the best of both worlds.
Speaking of Rose, she came home today with a letter for her mum.
"Mum, mum! I got a note for you from my teacher, but I promise it wasn't my fault. I punched his nose, but only because he teased me! I promise, mum!" cried Rose. Hermione took the letter from her daughter and quickly read it.
"He was teasing you?" questioned Hermione.
"Yes, mum! I promise!"
"Who is the boy in question?" asked Hermione.
"Scorpius Malfoy. If you ask me, it's a bit of a weird name. It sounds like scorpion. Oh my gosh! I wonder if he's a Scorpio. Hm… I have to ask him that! And I won-, " Rose jerked to a stop when her mum started talking. Hermione was in a shock when she heard the boy's last name, but she came back, making her daughter annoyed at her interruption.
"Honey, did you say Malfoy?" asked Hermione.
"Yes, I did, mother. Why?" questioned Rose, annoyed.
"Because I went to school with a Malfoy," replied Hermione.
"Muggle school or Hogwarts?" Rose asked.
"Hogwarts, " answered Hermione.
Rose looked shocked at this piece of news. Who knew! Another wizard in her school? I wonder if anyone else there is a wizard or witch, too, thought Rose.
"Mum, mum! I'm so sorry, I got another note! I promise it wasn't my fault! It was that Scorpius kid again!" cried Rose, bursting through the front door.
"Oh dear. This is beginning to become a bit of a problem," sighed Hermione. "What did he do this time that made you punch him again?" Hermione asked after reading the letter.
"He was pulling my ponytail! He sits behind me and whenever the teacher wasn't looking, he would pulled it. And when I turned around, he would just smirk," typical Malfoy, Hermione thought," so when I punched him in the nose, the teacher saw me and gave me this note!"
"Honey, if this happens again, we're going to have to go in for a talk with your teacher and Scorpius with his parents," said Hermione.
"Ugh! Okay, mum, I promise I won't let this happen anymore. I'll behave, I promise!" Rose yelled.
"Okay, Rose," Hermione said, shaking her head and smiling to herself.
Guess what happened? Let's just say Hermione and Rose were called in for a meeting with the teacher and Scorpius with his father.
Ron didn't go because he never knew, he would freak knowing Rose went to school with a Malfoy.
"Hello, Mrs. Weasley, Miss Weasley, Mr. Malfoy, and Mr. Malfoy," said the teacher.
"Hello," they chorused back.
"You all know why you are here, I assume. It has been brought to my attention that Rose and Scorpius have been getting into many quarrels, and we have to sort out this issue."
"It's not my fault! It's his! He's always bothering me!" yelled Rose. Hermione hushed her.
"Is not!" yelled Scorpius.
"Is too!"
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Enough," Draco Malfoy spoke suddenly. His voice came out low and firm. Everybody quieted.
The meeting soon finished, but anyone with eyes could tell this daily fighting was not coming to an end anytime soon.
On their way out, Hermione turned to her daughter and spoke.
"Y'know what, Rose? My mother always told me that when a boy picks on you, it means he likes you."
