Snow White
The sky is dark as I lay in bed
There are memories dancing in my head
Out side there is a streak of red
It's an apple!
I sneak silently through the dark
The shadows loomed like hungry sharks
There is a dent in the tree bark
The apple fell here.
I pick up the tiny sphere
Down my cheek runs a single tear
My heart was thundering with palpable fear
Bite the apple", the voice fills my ear
I bite the apple
Swirling and sliding, the hungry sharks take me
The loneliness pours inside of me
I feel as dead as a leaf of tea
The apple is poison.
The woman with a face of green
Sweeps me away laughing like a wicked queen
Her smile was big with preen
There was no one around to witness this scary scene
She cursed the apple.
Now here I am to stay until that one day
When my prince comes to the dragon, of whom he will slay
He will enter the chamber where I lay
The apple's curse will be broken.
