Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter.

It was George's birthday. It was April Fools. I thought a lot about how to prank the master. I finally figured it out. I would use a muggle invention. I would use a trick candle!

I walked in George's flat, holding his cake in one hand, and his gift in the other. I set the gift aside, and then turned the candle on.

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear George, Happy Birthday to you," I sang.

George looked up from his spot on the couch. "You didn't have to… but since you did, I'll take the gift and the cake."

I smiled and handed him the gift. I walked towards him, holding out the cake.

"Make a wish and blow out the candle George!"

"Why's there only one candle?"

"Because it's April 1st."

"Okay," he thought his wish over for a minute and then blew. The candle didn't blow out. He blew again. Still lit. He looked up at me with a confused expression on his face. I shrugged my shoulders. He blew even harder, his face turning red. By this time, I was laughing my head off; I couldn't keep it in any longer.

"April Fools! That's a trick candle, no matter how hard you blow it or how many times you blow, it'll always be lit." George smiled.

"That's a great prank, Hermione! You actually fooled the master," he said. I smirked.

"It seems I did, George, it seems I did."

Eh… came to me randomly when watching my mom blow out her candles.
