Joy rushed down the stairs, "is it him? Is he here?" She fumbled down the stairs in her heels as she scurried across the living room.

"No Joy that was me. I hit my head on the table when I was picking up my glasses," Victoria said. "Besides, he won't be here for another fifteen minutes. We still have to leave to let you two have the place for yourself." This did not settle Joy's nerves anymore. She had invited Brad over for a dinner that she made for him, well, would make with him. She didn't want to be too forward with him, they had only reunited yesterday, yet she felt as much for him as she did in high school.

A few minutes passed by and the time for Brad to arrive was approaching. The other girls had left and it was just her sitting on the couch trying to open the wine bottle. Then the doorbell rang. Joy ran to the door but slowed down before she reached it, not to seem to desperate. She opened the door to reveal Brad in a black suit and a red tie. Joy knew that every date that wore a red tie seemed to have a lucky night so she sighed in relief.

"Hello," she said.

"Hello gorgeous!" he responded as he looked up and down her. She was wearing a little red cocktail dress that was strapless but looked like it hung from the key around her neck. "That dress is amazing on you."

"Thank you! You don't look half bad yourself." She smiled, "wine?"

"I'd love some," he responded.

` "It's Cherry, I hope you don't mind. It's one of my favorites." Joy said.

"Me too!" Brad stated. "Some people don't appreciate it for what it really is." Joy poured him a glass and one for herself.

"Cheers," Brad said, "to us, may we always be together." She repeated cheer s after the clinking of the glasses. She took a sip and hoped that what he said meant he loved her.

"Should we start on dinner?" Joy asked, "or would you rather wait."

"To be honest," Brad began, "I'm not very hungry." This was a good sign for Joy. She smiled and scooted closer to him. He reached out and grabbed her glass. He took them both and set them down on the table. He put his arms around her, and kissed her.

"I would rather do this," he breathed. They leaned in towards one another and kissed. She knew it felt so right, the two of them together. She held him close to her, not wanting to let him go. He squeezed her tightly and moved her closer. He ran his hands through the ringlets of her hair as she ran her fingers through his hair.

She then turned and whispered in his ear, "let's go upstairs" and he nodded. She stood up and grabbed his hand as they ran up the stairs to her room. The bed was already cleaned off as the two of them sat on it and began where they left off.

Joy slowly arose that morning finding herself lying in bed next to Brad. Her skin pressed against his as he cuddled her in his sleep. She smiled as she recollected on that night. He seemed to love her more than ever before and her, the same. Joy twiddled with his fingers hoping that it would gently wake him up.

"Good morning handsome" she cooed as she kissed him.

"Good morning beautiful," he returned. He pulled her in tightly for a kiss. Suddenly, both of their stomachs grumbled.

"Blimey! We didn't even eat supper last night. You are probably starving," Joy exclaimed.

"I already had my fill," Brad said.

"Oh, stop it" Joy giggled but smiled in his dirty talk. "Come on, I bet Melanie is already cooking something." The two of them put on some clothes and went downstairs hand-in-hand.

"Good morning love birds," Melanie laughed. "By the smile on both of your faces you didn't get much sleep last night." Brad and Joy looked at each other and smiled. "I made breakfast if you want some." She said and walked out of the kitchen.

"Pancakes! My favorite, but there is one thing I like better." Brad picked up Joy and set her on the kitchen counter. She bent down and kissed him. He picked Joy up and continued to hold her off of the ground and kiss her.

"I love you," Joy cooed.
