Clark set the bottle of glue carefully back down on the table. He was completely oblivious to the sweet picture he made, his blue eyes shimmering with happiness and love as he sat there admiring his handiwork. Not having the money to buy Valentine's presents, he had decided to make his own. Now he was very glad that he had done just that for before him lay a lovely, pink heart for his Mom and another, much more special Valentine.
The true beauty was the one he'd made that was deep red and covered with intricate lace that he'd carefully formed from shredding paper at super speed. He had made the treasure for his very best friend in the whole world - Lex. He figured that Lex had had many that cost more than Clark would ever see in his lifetime, but none would come filled with more love.
He smiled a secret smile to himself as he imagined Lex's surprise when he got this. A warm feeling filled his heart as he imagined the reward Lex would give him. This would be their first Valentine's together as more than friends. He could hardly wait to give it to him!
The End
