This is my first time ever writing a D. Gray-Man fic, so I can't promise anything about it's quality. As I need to learn, please be positively honest in your review. If you're kind enough to leave one, anyway I can't draw to save my life. Do you really think I could be in any way associated with a manga/anime of any kind?
It was just a short moment. Two ridiculously short seconds! Yet Allen had realized something he should have known all along: Lenalee was incredibly fragile compared to him!
Not that she was weak, neither mentally nor physically, but rather that she was delicately built. Allen was not blind, so he had of course realized all of this a long time ago, but it only really occurred to him when her slight shoulders were pressed against his, slowly broadening, ones.
In the midst and heat of battle, they had come to stand back-to-back for two minimal seconds, and Allen had spend five, valuable seconds blinking in bewilderment at the new found realisation.
It was only natural, of course, that she would be smaller build, as females of mammals often were, but that didn't lessen the shock of this strong, determined, even dangerous young woman seemed so fragile compared to him. He was almost afraid of holding her protectively, as he might accidentally crush her, that was the only reason that made sense to him at that moment as to why he should not draw her away from the battlefield as fast as humanly possible.
Then another reason why he should not pull her away landed right in front of him. A little too close for comfort actually. Not that it could be helped, as Allen's zoning out had allowed an demon to come that close. Lenalee had seen, and immediately dispatched the enemy.
"What's wrong, Allen? You seem rather distracted." the young woman put a gentle hand on her friend's shoulder and gave him an equally gentle smile.
The young man shook his head violently, then gave his wide trademark smile. "It's nothing, I just realized something I should have figured out a long time ago."
I... Actually have nothing to say. It's probably an utterly ridiculous and stupid short piece, anyway. Well, please review. And please, tell me what you liked/disliked. It really will help me a lot!
