Memories
Harry looked behind him at the place that had been his home for the past few years; it looked almost exactly the same as when he had bought it. It still had the same sky blue walls, and the stained floor was covered with boxes piled hazardously around the small space. It looked odd with only brown cardboard boxes as decoration.
How ironic that his first and last day would be so similar. Of course there were a few differences, the floor had more stains, and there were more boxes than before. On his first day he looked at the place with promising dreams of their future, he now looked at it with memories of the past just as promising. He reflected on these memories now; he remembered his first time having everyone over for dinner and how he and Ginny had made a mess of the kitchen trying to cook enough food to feed everyone. When everyone eventually arrived, Harry realized there was no way they would all fit in his tiny flat he ended up having to move dinner to the roof! And that time on his birthday when he had to use the Confundus Charm on the neighbours when Hagrid knocked on the wrong door.
He fondly recalled his and Ginny's first date there and how she reacted to the Muggle movies he had planned for them to watch. It was like she was both fascinated and immensely confused, and although she tried to hide it, amused. And who could forget all the grumbling from Kreacher about Harry living in a Muggle flat when they could be living at number 12 Grimmauld Place? One time, Ginny brought Crookshanks over and he had great fun trying to catch the black dog that was on the screen of the telly. His favorite memory, though, had to be one from just over a year ago when he had invited Ginny over to watch some more Muggle movies. While they were watching Love Actually, Harry slid from the couch where he was cuddling with his lovely girlfriend and got down on one knee just as Aurelia ran down the stairs to kiss Jamie.
Over the years it became his home, and though he loved that home, he had to leave it behind to the Muggles who would now call it home. Harry closed the door behind him on his way to the Burrow to marry Ginny and create more memories in a new home.
