Chapter one

It is a universally misunderstanding that the happiness of any marriages that began with a mutual love could last forever, just as what the fairy tales indicated. But most of us had quite forgotten that fairy tales are just fairy tales, they would never become true in the reality. The few people who acknowledge that fact, such as Miss Elisabeth Bennet only wished she had been wrong all along just like when she was on her favorite path to the Oak Mount.

The cooling breeze was her curing medication for the headache she had suffered for several days when her memories constantly slipped into her days as Mrs. Elisabeth Darcy later titled Countess of Southern Derbyshire in the past, or in the future ten years. Although her marriage with Mr. Fizwilliam Darcy was not a happy one when she came back, she could not denied that it was a love match at the first place. So how it had turned out to be something she could not recognize was a mystery.

Elisabeth mused. She still could not understand how one night She just slept in the mistress bedroom in Pemberly alone as she had been doing over the last half year, then woke up in her own bed in her own room in Longbourn one year before she met Mr. Darcy. And the serves headache from the day she was back would not cease no matter what she had tried.

Her brows frowned and her hands covered her forehead. She could not suspect anyone used witchcraft on her since she still was respected as the mistress of an old and wealthy family. But nothing and no-one could explain why she was here.

Strangely it was a very quiet morning inside her family house. Mr. Bennet should be in his study reading some books and everybody else was still in their separate rooms. The headache she had been suffering since she was still in Pemberly was getting her quite irritated and pushed her to walk outside slightly after the first sunshine radiated from above.

The dawn had fully glowed. Bright sunshine covered the farms and forests smoothly as a lid. The air on the top of the Oak Mount was cooler but not intolerable. And the viewpoint could give you the best of the surrounding area. Elisabeth could see Neitherfield Park with out trying. The brilliant three-floors brick building was the place everything started. Elisabeth raised her head and looked at the clear blue sky above. She smiled. She could not complain about everything, since her dear sister Jane was still enjoying her happiness in her marriage with Mr. Bingley. And Elisabeth believed nothing would change about it. She was truly happy for Jane. At least one of the marriage of the Bennet girls was a happy one.

Dear God, she silently prayed. If it were you who send me back in time, please do not make me fall for the same gentleman again. And I shall happy for my spinster life.
