Chapter 1 – A Collision of Worlds
It was a sunny day in Angel Grove California and like many a day before it found six teenagers from Angel Grove High spending the day at the park. Tommy, Kimberly, Aisha, Billy, Rocky, and Adam were all in the eleventh grade, but they were more than just high schoolers. The six teens made up the multi-coloured spandex wearing fighting force known as the Power Rangers. Using the Morphers and Power Coins given to them by their friend and mentor Zordon, an ancient intergalactic being, the six called on the power of Animal Spirits and were tasked with protecting the world from Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd, two evil beings bent on conquering the Earth. Today found a familiar scene with the gang playing three on three at the basketball court. Tommy and Kimberly, the couple in the group, were forced to play on separate teams lest they use their special abilities to their advantage. Tommy and Kimberly, who possessed the spirits of the Falcon and Crane, were mates, their Animal Spirits having recognized each other as such the moment they were released and bonding the two together more tightly then their love for each other already had through the ancient power of the Ninjetti. It allowed them to be connected, to share one heart, one mind, and one soul, allowing even for silent, telepathic communication, thus giving them the unfair advantage over the other team. They were about halfway through their game of first to twenty points when an unfortunately familiar interruption appeared before them. Like nearly every day of their lives since becoming Rangers, Rita and Zedd had sent down their minion Goldar and a horde of foot soldiers known as Tengas to attack Earth with the hope of destroying the Power Rangers. Though this time seemed different. Goldar and the Tengas seemed completely unaware of the Rangers presence, too focused were they on a box shaped device Goldar was tinkering with.
"What are they doing?" Aisha asked. "Do they even know we're here?"
"Apparently not." Billy said. "They appear to be setting something up, and by the lack of attack innocent civilians I would say they are trying not to draw attention to themselves."
"And they think appearing in the park right next to where we're located will accomplish that?" Kim asked sceptically.
"Well, Rita and Zedd were never the smartest." Adam reasoned. "I say we just go with it."
"Right you are Adam. Don't you morons ever give up?" Tommy raised his voice, calling out to the golden monkey minion as the Rangers fell into fighting stances behind him, their leader and the White Ranger.
"Power Rangers!" Goldar growled in annoyance as he turned their way. "Lord Zedd never surrenders!"
"Well we can hope, can't we? I mean after all the times we've defeated him you'd think he'd be so sick of losing he'd give up just to save himself the humiliation." Rocky jibed.
"You will pay for that remark, Red Ranger."
"Bring it on, tin head." Adam responded for his friend, the six Rangers always having each other's backs.
"With pleasure. Attack!" The Tengas did as instructed and the six Rangers found themselves calling on their Ninjetti powers and falling into the familiar pattern that was a Tenga battle. Not too long after as the battle picked up pace, Tommy and Kim, working together as always, managed to knock one of the Tengas back into a few others. The backwards momentum of the group drove them into the device knocking it over and causing it to spark wildly.

Peter Pevensie stared down at his morose siblings feeling no better then they looked. It had been nearly four months since they'd returned from Narnia, for the second time, and none of them were faring very well, though Susan was the worst of them all, even if she tried not to show it. Peter knew Susan worried for their younger siblings, Edmund and Lucy, for he did as well. As the two oldest, Peter and Susan felt a great deal of responsibility towards their brother and sister. When they'd first fallen into Narnia, Peter had been sixteen, Susan fourteen with a six year gap between her and Edmund, and little Lucy had only been six. The two youngest Pevensies needed parents still and peter and Susan had filled those roles willingly. It had never grown to the point of either of them calling Susan and Peter mum and dad, but they had certainly turned to them for things that they would never normally turn to their siblings for, and Peter and Susan had developed parental feelings to an extent. As such, the two were trying to hold it together for Edmund and Lucy and take care of them, meaning they were not truly taking care of themselves and Peter knew Susan hurt the most. She'd always had maternal instincts for as long as Peter could remember, which had only multiplied when they'd entered Narnia and he knew her heart broke to see Edmund and Lucy so sad, though Peter also knew her heart broke for the loss of Caspian.
As had happened all too frequently over the past four months, Lucy, eight, having regained two of the fifteen years she'd grown in Narnia, but lost upon returning, burst into tears making way for Susan's own as she went to comfort the younger girl, though she made sure neither of her younger siblings saw her tears. Edmund, who was ten, slammed his chess piece down and stood from the table where he played with Peter, his own sorrow arriving along with Lucy's though his manifested as anger.
"You'll go back one day Ed." Peter assured his brother, coming over and clasping a hand on his shoulder.
"But for how long?" He ground out. "To return once more then to be banished forever as you and Susan were?" Edmund groaned, realizing what he'd just said. "I'm sorry Pete. That was callous of me."
"But true." Peter said, smiling sadly but ensuring Edmund knew he wasn't angry. "Go wash up. Mum will be calling for dinner soon." Edmund nodded, having long ago given up his anger and rebellion towards his older brother. He by no means did everything Peter said whenever Peter said it, but in moments like this, the moments when Peter and Susan were more parents then siblings, things were different. As he made his way to the door, Edmund stopped long enough to retrieve Lucy, her tears mostly having disappeared, leaving Peter and Susan alone.
"I'm believing in him less and less the longer he keeps them away." Peter muttered to Susan, not thinking at all of his own pain and sorrow at not ever returning to Narnia, but only for his younger siblings.
"He'll send for them when the time is right." Susan replied, ever the voice of calm and reason, no matter her own feelings.
"Yeah, when he needs them again. What about when they need him?"
"You shouldn't speak of Aslan so." Susan reprimanded, though it was only half hearted.
"Why not?" He snapped, losing his control, knowing that Susan was the only one to whom he could do so in front of. "It's the truth. He only summons us when he needs us, first to defeat the White Witch, then the Talmarines. What about if we need him? If we need Narnia? What about what's best for Edmund and Lucy? And for us." He amended, now including him and Susan. "You can't tell me this is what's best. Lucy bursting into tears at least once a day, Edmund getting into fights and mouthing off to his professors. And us…sitting through it all unable to help them. I know it eats away at you that they suffer, and we suffer because of it. Then there's Casp-"
"Don't." Susan interrupted sharply. "Just don't, Peter. You're right, you know you're right, but we still have to believe in him."
"Why?" Peter truly wanted to know. His faith in Aslan having really been shaken at being sent back here, away from their home, for they all considered Narnia their home, once again.
"Because we have nothing else."
Susan and Peter didn't know if their prayers had been heard, or if it was merely coincidence that not two days after their most recent discussion did something happen to take them out of their world. The four Pevensie children were on a walk in Hyde Park, strolling through a heavily wooded area as they were not in the mood to be around the mass of happy people out enjoying a warm, bright summer's day, when a speck of silver light appeared before them. The siblings stopped in their tracks, knowing that even after all they'd seen, a glowing light appearing out of nowhere was not a good sign.
"What is it?" Peter asked cautiously.
"I don't know." Susan responded, putting her arms around her younger siblings and pulling them close, not wanting them to get near an unknown glowing light. She didn't want Peter to get near it either but she did not feel the same protectiveness of him as she did of Edmund and Lucy. Peter took one hesitant step towards the light and then another but nothing happened. He was about to take a third step when the orb of light expanded without warning. Instinctively, Peter turned and threw himself in front of his siblings, while Susan pushed the younger two down and joined Peter in covering their younger brother and sister, but it did them no good. The light engulfed them and they felt a rush of power wash over them. Nothing else touched them and it was some moments before either Peter or Susan felt safe enough to open their eyes to see what happened. When they did it was to see them still all huddled on the grass surrounded by trees with the sun shining through the branches; the same scene they'd been in before the light had engulfed them.
"It's ok." Peter murmured reassuringly. "We're ok."
"What was that?" Edmund asked.
"I don't know. But whatever it was is gone."
"The trees are different." Lucy murmured and none of her siblings doubted her; Lucy knew the look and feel of the trees and if she said these weren't the same ones as those in Hyde Park, then they believed her. "We're back. We're in Narnia!" A wide smile broke out on Lucy's face and she immediately took off through the trees.
"Lucy wait!" Susan cried as she and her brothers took off after her. They reached her just before she burst out of the trees and into the open, Peter pulling her back.
"Lucy, you can't just go running off!" He scolded. Suddenly a blast sounded just in the clearing Lucy would have entered and the Pevensies crouched down, remembering similar sounds from the air raids during the war. "And that's one reason why." Peter added as they all slowly stood up and turned towards the clearing. They weren't sure what to expect, explosions had never been a part of any Narnian battle they'd been apart of, but what they saw shocked them. Six beings of humanoid appearance, all dressed head to toe in similar, multi-coloured body suits and helmets, fought off some monsters of the like none of them had ever seen, save for a monkey with wings.
"Have we landed in Oz?" Edmund quipped, referencing the famous film that had been released five years ago in 1939.
"I've certainly never seen creatures like these in Narnia." Said Lucy.
"I don't think we're in Narnia, Lu." Peter mumbled.
"But if not Narnia, then where are we?" Susan asked.
"Again I ask, have we landed in Oz?" It was a poor attempt at a joke, but given they knew where they weren't, yet had no idea where they were, they weren't entirely sure Edmund was joking. Staying hidden in the trees, the Pevensies watched the battle enfold, hoping for some clue as to where they were.

"You cannot win Rangers!" Goldar yelled to his foes as a horde of Tengas took them on.
"Oh yeah?" Rocky yelled right back. "Think again Goldilocks!" The Red Ranger launched himself over the Tengas and towards the ever present, and ever annoying, head minion. Having expected some such attack, Goldar was at the ready and took on the Red Ranger and his Power Sword. The two went at it for awhile while the others handled the Tengas, taking them down one by one. However, while the Tengas weren't any true threat to the Rangers there were a lot of them, more so than usual, and this fact did not escape the Rangers. They were certain it had something to do with Rita and Zedd's latest scheme, which evidently had something to do with the device Goldar had appeared with and was determined to protect, though he was not going a very good job. The device had been hit early in the battle and was still giving off sparks at various intervals, though it was no longer smoking. At least it had stopped smoking until the Rangers battle against the Tengas led them directly past Goldar and towards the device. Aisha knocked one of the Tengas back causing it to crash into the device and the smoke to reappear, along with a rather large shower of sparks. It was then that Rita and Zedd decided Goldar had failed them enough and that imminent failure was at hand, and so they sent down Rito and a random monster that promptly grew big.
"We need Ninjazord power now!" The Rangers called all together. When the Zords arrived, the Megazord was quickly formed and the Rangers took on the giant monster, trying to keep it away from the city as much as possible. While the Rangers fought a battle of epic proportions, Goldar and Rito turned their attention to the device and the task at hand, namely fixing it, then setting it off, for they'd been told that it would assure Rita and Zedd's ultimate victory. However, they didn't know how badly the device was damaged and so not only were repairs slow going, but, like always, Rito and Goldar couldn't agree on anything, each getting underfoot of the other, and so giving the Rangers a chance to defeat the monster and turn their sights on the minions. Neither Billy nor Alpha had had a chance to analyze the device, and given that it had now been damaged twice and they had no idea how it worked or what it was meant to do, the Rangers decided the best course of action was to get the device away from their enemies. So they went with the first plan of action that came to mind, namely using the Megazord to pick the device up and drop it somewhere in the woods, out of Rito and Goldar's reach. The two minions then promptly disappeared, swearing their revenged.
"We'll have to pick the device up later." Billy said. "We need to speak with Zordon and see if he knows what it is, and if it's even safe to move it." The other Rangers quickly agreed and followed Billy's lead, teleporting back to the Command Centre.
"What was that thing, Zordon?" Adam asked. "Rito and Goldar seemed pretty intent on getting it to work."
"I AM UNSURE AT THE PRESENT TIME." The ancient sage replied.
"I was unable to analyze it, there was too much interference." Alpha added.
"We need to locate it." Said Billy. "We need to know what it was, what their plan was, and then destroy it."
"We dropped it in the woods at the park somewhere." Said Tommy. "Kim and I will go look now. No doubt Rita and Zedd will be out looking for it too."
"We should all go." Aisha countered. "If they want it that badly there's gonna be trouble."
"We'll be fine 'Sha." Kim said. "Besides, I think more of you will be needed to deal with that guy." She added as the alarms blared and the Viewing Globe lit up to reveal yet another monster attacking downtown.
"Looks like Rita and Zedd are trying to keep us busy while they search for the device." Said Tommy.
"I AGREE. TOMMY AND KIMBERLY, YOU WILL GO AND TRY TO FIND THE DEVICE BEFORE RITA AND ZEDD. THE REST OF YOU WILL STOP THE ATTACK."
"Right." They acknowledged their mentor's instructions.
"Back to action! Tommy cried.
Once their helmets were put back in place, the Rangers teleported out, heading towards their respective destinations.

The four Pevensies had stood in shock as those multi-coloured beings fought the flying monkey, before truly settling into their shock when the monster had grown big and these giant animal shaped machines had been summoned before combining into god only knows what. Only when the machine threw the device away and the flying monkey, as well as the other mutated skeleton creature, had both disappeared did the Pevensies relax a bit and actually think on what they'd just witnessed.
"We're most certainly not in Narnia." Lucy muttered.
"Or Oz." Added Edmund.
"Give it a rest Ed." Said Peter. "We need to figure out where we are, how we got here, how we get back…"
"I think we can agree that the Deep Magic brought us here, we all felt it, it's the same as the magic we feel in Narnia, and what we felt when we were sent to Narnia before." Said Susan. "How we get back is another question entirely."
"How do we always get back?" Ed asked. "We finish what we were sent here to do."
"But we don't even know where here is, let alone what we're supposed to do. We've never been to a world like this before." Peter countered but Edmund merely shrugged.
"We had never been to a world like Narnia either but we figured it out. So let's go figure out what we're supposed to do here."
"At least this time we don't have an evil witch after us." Lucy said, agreeing with Ed's assessment that they were eventually figure things out.
"That we know of." Peter muttered to Susan as they followed their younger siblings back through the woods. They walked rather aimlessly for near to thirty minutes, looking for any sign of where they were, or anyone who might be friendly and could help them, though they truthfully didn't want to reveal themselves just yet. After awhile, Lucy stopped and placed her hand on a tree, gaining that expression she often wore in Narnia when speaking to her nymph and dryad friends.
"What is it Lu?" Peter asked.
"The trees." She said. "They don't feel like Narnia. They don't dance. I should have seen it. Just because the trees are different from England doesn't it mean it is Narnia."
"It's alright, Lu. You were excited, nothing wrong with that. We'll figure it where we are." Peter promised his sister. Lucy nodded and led the way through the next crop of trees, but she hadn't gone far when something drew her attention.
"Look!" She cried suddenly, pointing to a small clearing where a weird device stood. "It's that things the flying monkey was trying to get to work."
"Lucy don't touch it!" Susan scolded. "You can't just touch things when you have no idea of their function."
"We should really get out of here." Peter said. "They might come back for it and we don't want to be discovered."
"A little late for that."
oo00oo00oo
Tommy and Kim teleported to the park and began making their way through the woods in the general direction of the device, lamenting the fact that they had not paid better attention to where they'd dropped it.
"Things look so different from down here." Said Kim. "If we had the Megazord we could see exactly where we had to go. Actually the Falconzord or Cranezord would work too."
"We'll find it, don't worry." Tommy assured his girlfriend.
"What do we do with it when we do find it? We don't even know what it does."
"That's what Billy and Alpha are for. They'll figure it out." Kim smiled at him behind her helmet and they continued on, their solitude being soon interrupted by the sound of Zordon calling them over the comm.
"We read you Zordon."
"RANGERS, BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR ANYTHING ABNORMAL." He said. "DURING YOUR BATTLE EARLIER A PORTAL OPENED IN THE PARK NOT FAR FROM YOUR LOCATION AND SOMETHING, OR SOMEONE, CAME THROUGH."
"Do we know who or from where?" Tommy asked.
"NO. WE KNOW ONLY THAT THE PORTAL HAD TEMPORAL PROPERTIES. SOMEONE HAS COME THROUGH TIME, THROUGH WE DO NOT KNOW FROM WHEN."
"Are they friendly?" Kim asked, though given how little they knew she could guess at the answer.
"WE DO NOT KNOW. PROCEED WITH CAUTION RANGERS. WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WE ARE DEALING WITH."
"We will Zordon, don't worry." The comm channel closed and Kim and Tommy continued on their way, though more cautiously then before. They had some experience with time travel, five of the Rangers having been sent to colonial Angel Grove, while Kim had rather recently been sent to Angel Grove during the Wild West. But nothing had ever come to them, it had always been the other way around. The two walked for awhile without saying anything, merely keeping their eyes open, and just when the silence was beginning to get to Kim a voice was heard not far from them.
"Lucy don't touch it! You can't just touch things when you have no idea of their function." Tommy and Kim crept closer, knowing how close they were to the device, and hearing of an object in the middle of the woods that had an unknown purpose, was a clear indication of just how close.
"We should really get out of here." Another voice, male this time, said. "They might come back for it and we don't want to be discovered."
"A little late for that." Tommy spoke up as he and Kim burst forth into the clearing. The first thing they noticed was that the object that was being spoken of was indeed the device they were looking for. They then turned towards those who had spoken and stopped in their tracks. There were four people, humans, two girls and two boys. One of each gender looked to be about their age, teenagers, while the other two were most certainly younger. Upon seeing the two Rangers, the elder two instantly put themselves between the younger two and Tommy and Kim, clearly intending to protect them no matter the cost. Taking in the four unknowns, Tommy and Kim saw that there was a certain air about these four, though more so the elder two, that screamed power, though they got the impression that it wasn't the kind of power they were use too.
"They're just kids." Kim muttered to Tommy via the mating bond of their Animal Spirits that allowed them to communicate telepathically.
"Maybe they wandered here accidentally." He returned. They went to approach the four only for the elder two's stance to become even more firm as they got closer.
"It's ok." Tommy said. "We're not here to hurt you."
"They're the same people from before!" The younger girl suddenly cried. "The ones that fought that flying monkey." It became clear when she spoke that they weren't from around here, their accents sounding English.
"Quiet Lu." The older of the two boys said, still eying the Rangers wearily.
"We really won't hurt you." Kim tried to assure them. "We're Power Rangers."
"Power Rangers?" The elder girl asked, all four looking confused.
"Do they not know what Power Rangers are in England? We assume that's where you're from." Tommy returned.
"No, can't say we do. Is that some new war machine the Allies came up with?" The younger boy asked. "And did you say England? As in, we're on Earth?"
"Of course you're on Earth. What planet did you think you were on?" Tommy asked, though he got no reply.
"How do they not know who we are?" Kim asked Tommy. "Jase says we're known all around the world, monster attacks being a big deal and all that. We were an entire topic of discussion at the World Peace Conference."
"And what war they talking about? England's not at war are they?"
"Tommy they mentioned the Allies." Kim said, that reference making itself known.
"Like the Allies from World War II?" He asked in surprise, seeing where her train of thought was going. "Could they be the ones that came through the portal Zordon was talking about?"
"Only one way to find out." Kim said. "What year do you guys think it is?" The four stiffened and that action alone was almost enough proof for Tommy and Kim, for they obviously knew something, but they still waited for an answer.
"1944." The elder boy said finally.
"And you got here by some kind of portal I'm guessing." At their hesitant nod, she continued. "We detected a temporal portal opening somewhere around here, obviously you were the ones to come through it. It's not 1944, I'm sorry to tell you, it's 1995." Their shock was evident and so Tommy explained a bit more.
"You're in Angel Grove California, in the United States. We're what are called Power Rangers, we're defenders of Earth. Our planet is under attack by evil beings and we protect people."
"We can help you get back to your time, but you'll have to trust us." Kim said, adding that last bit when the elder two still didn't look like they believed or trusted them, and they were right.
"You want us to just trust you implicitly?" The girl asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I guess that is a lot to ask." Kim conceded. "You're in a strange time, a strange world almost, things are so different now, and we're strangers to you."
"And you're hiding your identities." The elder boy added. "Wearing those suits so we have no idea who you are, or what you are. Trust goes both ways."
"There's a reason we hide our identities." Tommy said, though he couldn't fault that logic. "If it became common knowledge it could go pretty badly for the people we love."
"Look, we might be able to explain more, but we gotta ask first, it's not just our secret to tell. Why don't we take this thing away before our enemies show up and then we'll come back for you?" The older two looked to each other and had a silent conversation before agreeing, albeit reluctantly. However, before Tommy and Kim could even grab the device, a voice that was well known to them sounded throughout the clearing.
"You can go, but leave the device alone. Lord Zedd wants it back."
"Goldar!" Tommy cried as he and Kim whirled around and moved to stand in front of the four.
"Run." Kim hissed to them. "Hide." The two oldest immediately grabbed the younger ones, wanting to get them out of there, but they were stubborn and it took Goldar raising his sword before they could get them away.
"Give me that device!" He yelled.
"Not a chance! Finders keepers metal head!" This only served the purpose of angering the minion who thrust his sword out, sending a blast of energy towards the Rangers. The two jumped aside, having expected such an attack, but this left the device wide open and Goldar's attack hit it dead on. This had more effect on it then all of Rito and Goldar's attempts put together for where they couldn't even turn it on, the device now immediately started up, or at least it did something. Blinking lights went on and it began to crackle with energy moments before it began to shake uncontrollably, the energy surrounding it multiplying.
"It's gonna blow!" Tommy cried to Kim as they ran towards the four time travellers, seeing that they had stopped just inside the treeline, with the intent of covering them from the impending blast. They reached the four with just enough time to get them to duck down, using their bodies to shield them when the energy blast came. It hit with a strong enough force to knock them forward, but instead of hitting the ground half a second later from their kneeling positions, they felt like they were falling, truly falling from a relatively high height, before hitting the ground. Upon lifting their heads, the first thing they became aware of was that they were not staring out of their visors, the blast had forced them to de-morph. The second thing was that they were no longer in the park, but on some beach with the bright sun shining down on them, and on the crystal clear blue water that stretched as far as the eye could see. The two groaned and forced themselves to sit up, ensuring they were both alright, before turning their attention to the other four, whom they saw to staggering to their feet not far from them.
"You guys alright?" Tommy asked as he and Kim jogged over to them, Tommy lifting the younger girl right up from the sand before depositing her on her feet while Kim visually scanned them all for injuries.
"Yes, we're fine." The elder male said, quickly followed by the younger one.
"You're human." He said.
"Yeah." Tommy said with a little laugh. "I guess there's no point hiding it anymore. I'm Tommy and this is my girlfriend Kimberly. We're the Pink and White Power Rangers."
"Which they probably could have guessed from the colour of our suits." Kim added.
"How do you do?" The elder boy asked while reaching to shake both their hands. "I'm Peter Pevensie. These are my sisters Susan and Lucy, and my brother Edmund." He motioned to the elder girl followed by the two younger kids.
"Nice to meet you." After the introductions were done, Tommy and Kim's attention quickly turned to the task at hand.
"Where are we?" Kim asked. "It doesn't look like anywhere in Angel Grove."
"Or any of Rita's other dimensions." Tommy added.
"We should contact Zordon." Tommy nodded and raised his communicator.
"Zordon come in." No reply came and the two got a sinking feeling. "Zordon, Alpha do you read me?" When no reply was forthcoming the two groaned.
"Great! Stuck only god knows where with no way to contact the Command Centre!" Said Kim.
"Actually, we know exactly where we are." They turned around to face Lucy, her siblings as well for they'd been paying attention to Tommy and Kim, and saw her pointing upwards to the top of the cliff that surrounded the beach. "Narnia."
