"Time is the Issue"
Kyo stared at his reflection in the mirror. He saw himself, but he also saw Kiku. He hated that, always seeing Kiku in his own reflection. His crimson eyes narrowed as he punched the glass, breaking it and successfully shattering his image. Moving his fist away, he saw a cracked reflection of himself. "That fits better…" he mumbled, leaving the room. The day started with Oliver being a pest, typical. Next were a few fights that took little time and effort to win. He took a walk, avoiding all others, and the people doing the same. This happened everyday in an endless loop. He would wake up and predict what would happen. He had come to accept the fact that every war he had ever fought was for nothing, and that Kiku had never needed him. He scarred himself for nothing, which fueled his rage. On top of that, everyone was just scared of him. He hadn't always been intimidating. There had been a time where he loved peace. But that had been shattered when he tried to protect his 1p. With everyone afraid of him, how could he fall in love? He thought about that, he had taken over Kiku's body quite a few times and talked to...Gilbert. Yes, that was his name. The Prussian had a certain effect on him that made him drop his guard. He even let the albino touch him, get in his personal space. He didn't understand why people fell in love until he met Gilbert. Ever since the wars and accusations against him, he didn't remember that he had a heart, let alone feelings other than hate and anger. He sighed in frustration as he entered his house, wondering why he had even fallen in love. It was pissing him off. He would ask François, but that would be a hassle. And besides, the other man was probably busy. He sat down and stared at his ceiling, deciding to worry about all that later. It really was annoying. How could he even fall in love? Maybe it was because of the days they spent together as children. The faintest of smiles graced his lips as those memories came to his mind. A flower field, a simple meeting, and a lasting bond. Or at least that was what he thought at the time. Life isn't a fairytale, of course they were separated. He sat back and closed his eyes, letting yet another sigh escape him as he let his mind wander back to simpler times.
