Thank you for deciding to view my story! I never considered myself a writer, but wanted to give it a shot. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Monster High.

She felt a presence near her. Blinded by the darkness of her windowless room, the girl felt around the wall for a light switch. Unable to find anything familiar, a twinge of panic resonated inside of her. Creaking sounds echoed from the corner of the room where the unknown presence grew stronger. The girl let out a shaky breath and folded her arms protectively over her chest. She activated her emergency ocular lights. The outdated technology was not enough to cut through the blackness completely, but she could almost make out a figure. A pale, slim girl in a white coat stood hunched over with her head tilted downward.

Robecca wished she was advanced enough to be able to zoom in and get a better look without moving closer, or at least have the ability to squint like most organic persons. She cautiously backed into her metal bed and sat on top of the messy sheets. She fiddled with the hem of her nightgown nervously trying to think of what this girl could possibly want. Robecca played with the idea of the girl not being real and a result of too many horror flicks, but quickly dismissed the thought upon hearing the creak of the floorboards again where the stranger stood. Nearby, a miniature oil can rested on the floor under her computer desk. It was the size of a small camera and the same can Robecca usually kept in her purse in case of an embarrassing squeak. Not allowing herself to tear her eyes away from the strange girl, but wanting some sort of protection, Robecca quickly debated in her mind whether or not the little oil can could knock the figure unconscious.

"It might be small, but it's solid." She thought. "Or maybe one of these pillows could do the trick."

The figure jolted her head upright. Robecca flinched, wondering if the girl somehow heard her thoughts. For a moment she felt guilty for thinking of ways to hurt her and almost apologized aloud. It was entirely possible that this mysterious girl in white wandered into Robecca's room on accident. The robot girl lived in one of the school's closets after all.

Comforted by the possibility of this strange girl being another student, she stood back up from the bed. The girl in white twitched slightly as Robecca slowly took a couple steps toward her.

"Excuse me, are you l-lost? What's your n-name?" Robecca stuttered out in a whisper. Now that she moved a bit closer, she noticed that the girl wore a hood with what looked like some sort of ears placed on top.

The strange girl started twitching unnaturally and let out a low moan. Robecca lost whatever courage she held onto and froze in place. The girl in white twisted her head in unpredictable violent motions. Her body convulsing as she took a step forward. Robecca, still immobilized by fear stood watching the unreal display. No normal person could ever move in such a manner and she now believed this girl was surely here to kill her. With that thought, Robecca fought her paralyzation and forced herself to move away from the chaotic stranger. The girl in white moaned louder and reached out to grab Robecca with one hand. The robot shrieked, lunged herself backwards, and landed on the floor. The intruder managed to grab ahold of a thick lock of Robecca's long black hair. Robecca yelped, not in pain, but at the sight of the girl's green decaying hand. It was cracked and peeling at the fingertips. Some of her fingernails were chipped and others had fallen off. The skin on her hand appeared to have been sewn together in irregular patterns but the stitches were now loose and weak, revealing maggots eating away inside her flesh.

Too grossed out at the thought of touching her attacker's hand to pull away, Robecca flailed and kicked her legs helplessly. She felt around for something she could use, but found nothing. The oil can was gone, her bed was gone, and everything else in the room seemed to have disappeared as well. It was as though she was in some sort of alternate reality, trapped alone in the darkness with a girl who apparently wanted to hurt her. She screamed for help in vain, knowing very well that no one else would be at school at this dark hour. The girl in white gripped her free hand on her hood, which Robecca now realized had rabbit ears, and slowly pulled it back. Underneath revealed nothing but a stump. The girl was headless. Robecca let out a ghastly scream of both terror and pain. An intense heat built up behind her eyes. There was a spark and a crack inside her head and she could no longer see. A tight force began to wrap itself around her body and crush her copper limbs. She let out a cry as she heard a snap of wire and briefly wondered which function shut off until she realized she was unable to move her left hand. Then all of a sudden, the force lifted.
Robecca felt the girl disappear as the shock caused her system to involuntarily begin its sleep mode.

She awoke with the sun warming her face. She sat up groggily, trying to understand how she ended up in the nurse's office. Then it hit her. All the memories from last night began piecing together. The alarm caused a small electrical surge throughout her body.

"W-where am I?! Where's that girl?!"

The nurse pulled back the white curtain surrounding Robecca's bed to check on her. She was a middle-aged vampire with a gentle, maternal voice. "Hello Miss Steam. I managed to repair your hand, but it seems you blew the fuse inside your emergency ocular lights as well. You should be able to see fine during the day, but do try to find some replacements as soon as possible."

Robecca stared up at the nurse, panicked. "Did you catch the White Rabbit?"

"White rabbit?" the nurse repeated.

"There was a girl… and… Y-you mean she is still out there?!" Robecca gasped.

She slipped out of the white sheets and stood up a little too quickly causing her to wobble around disoriented for a moment. Making her best efforts to right herself, she frantically tried to rush past the nurse.

"Miss Steam, please try to calm down!" cried the nurse as she was able to grab Robecca's arm. As is usually the case with most vampires, despite her deceptively gentle demeanor she held a very firm grip.

"She is still out there! She tried to kill me! I have to warn everyone about the girl dressed as a White Rabbit!"

Robecca managed to release herself from the nurse and ran out into the hallway. It was a weekday and there were students buzzing about Monster High. She headed towards the cafeteria and climbed on top of a large table. Just as she was about to yell, her voice got caught in her throat. Nearby peers stopped to stare and wonder why she was standing up there. Robecca felt her facial wires grow hot.

"I… uhm…" she stammered, but felt too silly to finish her sentence. She then realized she was still in her blue nightgown with the penguin pattern. While she was struggling to overcome her nerves, a couple of students were busy taking pictures with their iCoffins of the weird robot girl in her nightwear. The adrenaline she felt moments ago in the nurse's office drained away completely and her shyness took over instead. It took a few seconds for her to decide that telling others that there may be a killer on the loose was not worth the embarrassment, but eventually she stepped down from the table and began walking back towards her room while mentally berating herself for being too timid.

In the hallways decorated with various posters, a particular few caught her eye. They were posters for an upcoming Alice in Wonderland play. They were printed in vintage sepia tone with the familiar classic drawings from the original story. Robecca looked over each of the character's faces. There was the Queen of Hearts with her head too large for her body, the Cheshire cat with a grin too large for his face, and the Mad Hatter with his hat way too large for his head. The story always gave her a warmness inside of her whenever she read it. It was the last story her father read to her before he died. Robecca found herself smiling at the poster until she noticed in the corner an oversized pocketwatch that belonged to the White Rabbit. It gave her an unsettling thought and before she realized what she was doing, she tore one of the posters down and folded it up neatly into her hands. Next to them was an audition signup sheet. Upon reviewing the sheet one name caught her eye: Frankie Stein.
