Author's Note

Hey, Dat Eevee here. I'll probably be writing these at the start of every chapter, to do things like respond to reviews.

Anyway, this story may seem a lot like others that you might have read. I'll do my best to make this one as unique as I possibly can. I already am pretty sure that the plot will go in a different direction than the others.

So anyway...

Prologue

Everyone thought that Team Rocket had disbanded. But they never did. They've just been working in secret.

In fact, our story begins in one of their hideouts, a floating laboratory several miles off the southern coast of Sinnoh. The tower-like laboratory had been constructed about two years before, and the experiments performed in this lab were sometimes too horrible to think of. This was not one of those cases, however, or I would not be here, telling this story.

From the outside, the laboratory didn't look like much. It appeared to be a cylinder of old grey bricks that towered six stories above the water. On the inside, however, was some of the world's greatest technology; all of which were experiments done in the lab. It was also filled with computers, shelves of research notes, and test tubes.

Very few members knew about this lab. The experiments done there were only performed by the team's top scientists. The experiment that would happen today could lead to Team Rocket's domination.

Only two scientists were in the laboratory for this. One was a young, red-headed girl. Her long hair was shaped into a ponytail, and she sported safety goggles for the experiment, unlike her partner. He was a tall man, around the age of thirty-five. His hair was short and chocolate-colored. Both wore white lab coats over their traditional Team Rocket uniform.

Of course, there had to be a test subject. This role was taken by a young, light-skinned, blonde-haired boy by the name of Alex. He seemed to only be thirteen. They had him tied to a support beam and gagged. Team Rocket never used test subjects who volunteered ever since the fake disband. They always captured them against their will, one way or the other.

Anyone could easily see why Alex was struggling as hard as he could to escape, for he knew what they were going to do to him. They were going to turn him into a Pokemon.

Well, technically, they weren't. They were attempting to give him the ability to morph into a Pokemon, assuming it worked. Alex highly doubted that it would be a success. He would probably get stuck as a Pokemon forever. Even if it did work, he was doomed to live out his life as one of Team Rocket's living weapons. All he could do was prey for a miracle.

"Okay," said the female scientist "is it ready?" She held a needle in her hand, seemingly excited for the experiment.

"Yes... I think so." replied the man. "I hope this works, it's gonna be hard to make more of this stuff."

He reached his hand out to grab the container of liquid that was about to be used on Alex. He lazily picked it up with one hand, and carried it over to the girl.

Remember how Alex was praying for a miracle? Well, it happened.

The male scientist dropped the container, and the liquid flowed down the drain. (It was a floating lab, if water got in, it needed to get out somehow) The day before, he had been the one to engineer the formula that would hopefully make the experiment a success. It had taken all night, and he was still tired. Everyone on Team Rocket, even the grunts, knew how much of a klutz he was when he was tired.

"Are you serious?" screamed the female scientist, with a look so fierce that she seemed ready to strangle the nearest person. "You're gonna get us both freaking fired! Fired! Where would we get new jobs?"

"Uhh... there are more important things." he replied, nervously. "Where exactly does that pipe lead to?" He remembered faintly that the drain ran into some city's water supply. Hundreds of people could consume it, and whether or not it worked, it couldn't end up well.

"Some city in Hoenn, I think the boss said." the other one responded. "Why?"

She wasn't aware of what was soon to happen in that poor little town. Nobody was until it happened. That town is where our story really begins...
