A/N
Remember the look on Sherlock's face just after Mary chucked that glass of wine over him? Well this story is about that moment. Enjoy!
Regrets
Many men had spoken of this moment, the event when one realizes that what they had just said or done had, in fact, been the wrong thing.
Holmes had never experienced this before. Well that's not quite true, he had, on many occasions, said or done the wrong thing but he had never really been bothered about the effect he had had.
But this was different, Holmes was bothered this time. And as he started his meal without his roommate and his fiancée, he pondered on why.
As he took the first bite of his meal, looking around feeling as though all in the room were looking upon him, he realized what was different.
In, unintentionally, insulting John's fiancée, Holmes had, in fact, greatly upset and disappointed his best friend, something he had wished never to have done. And for the first time in Sherlock Holmes' life, he too greatly regretted his actions.
