Hundreds of thoughts and worries swarmed through her mind as 17
year old Daisy Riye stepped up the stairs that led up to the entrance
of the school, suitcases in hand. She placed a suitcase gently on the
ground next to her baggy deep green pants and opened the large door to
reveal an entrance hall. Picking up the dropped suitcase, Daisy
entered slowly, kicking the door gently behind her.
She put down both suitcases and took off the two bags that were
slung across her slender shoulders while her astonishingly beautiful
honey colored eyes scattered over the room she was in, absorbing
everything she saw. She brushed a strand of her short and choppy deep
brown hair off of her thin attractive face, and she waited.
Daisy had known she was a mutant since she was very young, since
her Telekinesis showed up very early in her stages of life, but she
hadn't known there was a school for her kind since a week and a half
ago, when the Professor had called her home. The Xavier School for
Gifted Youngsters was now her new home for the next two years. How
Professor X discovered her, she did not know. But that was in the back
of her mind at the moment. Right now she was wondering where the
teacher who would be greeting her might be.
Her questions were answered as a beautiful woman with white
blond hair and mocha skin strolled into the entrance hall. "Hello Ms.
Riye." She said warmly with a smile. "You may call me Ms. Munroe."
Daisy smiled and said, "Its nice to meet you." She stood up and
picked up her bags and suitcases once more. When she looked up at Ms.
Munroe, she had one of her eyebrows raised and a smirk dance across
her lips.
"You're going to carry those?" She asked in a curious way. "I'd
of thought you'd float your way along behind me."
Daisy knew what Ms. Munroe meant. Professor X had told her that
he would inform the teachers of the school of her incredible
abilities. What Daisy hadn't told him was that she only liked to use
her powers unless it was absolutely necessary.
"I'm not weak. I am able to carry things." Daisy replied with a
serious look. She followed behind Ms. Munroe to Daisy's dorm room,
while listening to the information about the school that Ms. Munroe
was feeding her.
'Here we are." Ms. Munroe chimed after a journey through the
mahogany halls. "You will be sharing this room with two other girls.
Andi is about your age, but Noir is 13." Ms. Munroe motioned for Daisy
to come into the room. Daisy dropped her bags and made her way to the
dresser that wasn't cluttered with belongings. "They are both very
nice girls, you will be very welcomed." Ms. Munroe assured Daisy. She
gazed at her watch and added, "They will be in here shortly, as class
is about to end. Once the next class begins in about 20 minutes I will
come and get you so you can meet with Professor X. He told me to give
you time to meet your dorm mates." And with a smile, Ms. Munroe left
and shut the door, leaving Daisy alone to unpack in her new room.
