Hiya. Not sure where I'm going with this, but enjoy :)

Karigan moved in perfect rhythm with Condor's loping strides. He had kept the pace for hours, with the scenery barely changing. Of course, she knew not to let her guard down this far north, but she couldn't help but become a little... bored.

She obviously saw the irony in the situation. Whenever she was in the castle she felt trapped and now she was out, she longed for the Rider common room, with its atmosphere and laughter.

Karigan pulled Condor up a path that would lead them to the nearest waystation. Now it was nearing evening, sunlight was scarce. In the darkness, the trees seemed to loom threateningly, and she watched the woods warily.

Karigan knew full well that she was tone deaf, but began humming the chorus to a song about the Riders that Bard had once written. It seemed to somehow keep the darkness at bay.

Hoofbeats echo through the night,

Riding under the moon.

Sword humming, eyes bright,

Hoofbeats to this tune.

Brave heart, stout heart,

Strong and true,

Lil rides here!

Blood pounds

As the call sounds,

Green Riders now appear!

Karigan's eyes scan the surroundings as she hums, but reaches the Waystation with no issue.

She goes to untack Condor, and finds another horse already there. She grins and once she's done, runs round to the door.

Dale looks up from the cooking and grins back.

"I heard some outrageously out of key humming and knew who it would be, so I cooked extra for you."

She laughs and thanks Bard for teaching her the song, before settling down with her friend.

Perhaps she didn't need to be in the Rider common room. It almost seemed like she'd brought the common room with her later on, when Tegan had shown up, and they had begun singing.

Hoofbeats echo through the night,

Riding under the moon.

Sword humming, eyes bright,

Hoofbeats to this tune.
