MGMT – Electric Feel
Sulu's throat tightens as Chekov's hand brushes his on the bridge.
"Sorry," Chekov mutters in his thick Russian accent, quickly pulling his hand away from the button he and Sulu were both reaching for at that moment.
Sulu tries to choke out a reply, but can't find the words. Chekov goes back to his mathematical calculations, oblivious to the fact that Sulu hasn't acknowledged his apology.
He knows it's for the better, for God's sake the kid is only seventeen, but he can't help but miss the electricity that coursed through his body when they touched.
Sulu only hoped it wouldn't be the last time.
Issues – Boyfriend
"Spock…"
"Yes captain?" Spock replied over the bridge intercom.
"Report to my cabin, please," Kirk replied.
"Captain, I am needed on the bridge."
"I'm sure no one will notice…" Kirk's voice trailed off.
Spock was intrigued, but his duty as first officer was to hold down the bridge when the captain wasn't there.
"Please, Spock."
"Jim…" he trailed off, hesitant. "I'll be right there."
Spock could hear the smile in Kirk's reply.
"You're the best boyfriend ever."
Ke$ha – Last Goodbye
The life was draining from Scotty's eyes, but he couldn't let go. Not before-
"Nyota…" he managed.
He felt Kirk's hand grip his. "Scotty, she-"
"We failed to beam her up from the planet's surface, Mr. Scott." Spock replied in his clinical tone, but there was regret in his voice. Later, he would blame himself for what happened on the away mission, for letting them sacrifice their lives to save him.
"Tell her-"
"Just relax, Scotty." A tear managed to slip out of Kirk and onto Scotty's hand.
"I… loved her."
Tinie Tempah – Pass Out
Jim quickly surveyed the club as he entered. For a second, he locked eyes with an Orion girl and had a passing thought that maybe he'd like to take her to bed. He brushed it off when he saw the other three men eyeing her.
At the bar, he ordered a gin and tonic. He wasn't about to spend his precious shore leave sober. The quicker he got drunk, the quicker he could relax.
He was half way through his third drink when a warm body pressed up against his backside. He looked over his shoulder, half expecting it to be the Orion girl from earlier, but saw McCoy.
"Bones?"
"Shh," McCoy whispered in his ear. "Just wanted to make sure you weren't going to pass out."
Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know
Sometimes, McCoy can't stand the sight of Christine.
Kirk has just entered sick bay, carrying Spock bridal style. The away mission hadn't gone as planned. Like usual, McCoy thinks.
"Do what you can, Bones," Kirk muttered.
"Get back to the bridge, Jim," McCoy shooed him away.
"Let me know when he wakes up." Kirk reluctantly let go of his hand.
Christine is on them in an instant, hyposprays in hand.
"What happened?" she asked frantically, surveying Spock's wounds.
"Looks like head trauma."
"Will he be okay?" she asks, grazing Spock's cheek with her palm.
McCoy clenches his fists, unable to reply. He can't stand the way Christine looks at Spock. It's the same way Spock looks at Kirk when he thinks no one is watching. McCoy knows that look.
And he can't bear to look at her anymore.
