He couldn't believe the extent of their small-mindedness and bigotry. If these were the shining examples of the wizarding world of Britain, he wasn't sure he wanted to be associated with them. Maybe he should just emigrate to Australia - Lord knows the paranoid Muggle government there would welcome him. He had had enough and stood, green eyes darkening with repressed fury. Those nearby felt the barely-restrained power and quailed in their seats, staring at the slight boy they had ignored to this point.
"Silence!" he thundered, and the room froze.
"Now see here boy..." one wizard was foolish enough to bluster. His glittering eyes fixed on the self-important toadie as his icy voice overrode the fool.
"I am not your boy, and I never will be. I have had enough of the lot of you, all concerned with furthering your own careers while people die due to your negligence! We are fighting a war and all you can think about is when you get your next promotion? You disgust me, and you are a disgrace to wizarding kind. While we are fighting on the same side I will tolerate your existence, but may the Magic help you if you find yourself on the receiving end of my wand."
His glare moved around the room, then resettled on the person who had tried to silence him.
"You may beg and you may plead, but you will never receive my aid again."
With that final condemnation he turned and walked out. The entire gathering stared at the empty doorway until a quiet chuckle and lazy applause sounded from near the fireplace. The room turned its attention to the man leaning against the wall who slowly pushed himself upright.
"Well done boys," he commented with sarcastic amusement. "You just managed to not only ignore but completely alienate our only hope against the Dark Lord. Quite an achievement."
The blustery wizard gasped. "That was Harry Potter?"
"Of course. They wouldn't let just anyone into the War Room would they? Oh wait...you're all here...so they must."
He smiled lazily and strolled out the door after the last hope of the wizarding world, leaving a room full of incompetent fools and bumbling idiots behind him.
