"Joseph, I swear I will hurt you if you don't tell me where we are going!" Lilly squealed to her best friend. Joe chuckled and just pulled her along. The thick woods that they were currently venturing were a mystery to Lilly, but Joe knew exactly where he was going. Lilly yelped as she tripped over a fallen branch, falling to the ground. Joe gasped and kneeled down to her.

"Are you ok?" Lilly moaned quietly in pain as she held her ankle.

"I think its twisted. Maybe we should go back, Joe…" Lilly said catiuously looking up at Joe.

"No… Please, Lilly. I'll carry you. Its not a long time thing. Its like… fifteen minutes. Please?" He pleaded. Lilly sighed and held out her hand. Joe smiled and put his arm under her knees and lifted her into his arms. Lilly laughed.

"Hold on!" Joe said smiling. He began to walk quickly in his original direction.

After a few minutes of walking, They came to a clearing that came out onto a deserted golf course. Lilly looked at Joe.

"Why are we at the golf course? Its nighttime, anyway. We could get in trouble…."

"They won't mind." He said quietly. Joe walked Lilly out to the middle and lay her down on one of the pitches. He lay down next to her and they waited there in the dark.

"Joe, shouldn't we be getting back to the barbeque?"

"We will. I just want you to see this."

"What are we--" Lilly tried asking.

"Shushhh…" the two fell silent for a few seconds.

Suddenly, fireworks began spouting off in every single direction. Lilly gasped. She looked at Joe and smiled.

Joe had been watching her expression. Lilly looked to him.

Their eyes met, and suddenly, everything fell silent. Lilly leaned toward him and kissed his lips gently, letting her eyes fall. They broke the kiss and smiled at each other. Joe spoke up.

"…Some fireworks, huh?"
