Hey Sunstorm here. Just the unsual, I don't own Twilight. My brother wrote this lovely poem for me (and yes, I do have his permission to put this up).

This is dedicated to my Uncle, who served in the Australian army.

What are we fighting for?

Death and destruction, causing loss and pain

Brave men and answering the call

Running right through bullets and rain

Not easing till their enemies fall

.

Through dug out trenches and barbwire fences

Through rain hail or shine we fought

Firing our guns without a thought

Of what are we fighting for?

.

Under the cold, bright moon

We trudged back to base

Unpacking our gear

without a smile on our face

And as we dropped in to bed

My best mate sighed and said

" I hope we get out of this alive"

.

Through dug out trenches and barbwire fences

Through rain hail or shine we fought

Firing our guns without a thought

Of what are we fighting for?

.

As we watched and waited on the front line,

Gruesome images, flowed into my mind

As I tried to swallow, my throat was dry

Still came the scenes of a blood red sky

We never heard the guns, only the sound

I watched as my mates fell all around

Scrambling for cover I hit the ground

Fighting back round after round.

As the battle ended we saw that we won

We celebrated with wine and barrels of rum

Through the party I still felt sick and started to moan

Because the thing that I wanted

Was to be back home.

.

Through dug out trenches and barbwire fences

Through rain hail or shine we fought

Firing our guns without a thought

Of what are we fighting for?

Hoped you liked it. Please ignore the random full stops. I couldn't get my space bar to work -.-'
