"Attention"
No one brought it up again. A few sharp words, a distracted pat on the shoulder, and that was the end of that. Even Ginny's own mother seemed to care more about Hermione's welfare. They crowded around her bed, her own brother gushing with relief that Hermione was revived, attentive to a mocking degree as Ginny seethed quietly in her bed.
"How did you figure it out?" Harry asked Hermione for umpteenth time on the train ride back to London.
"It was very simple, actually," Hermione answered, beaming with those large, unsightly teeth. Ginny had never noticed before how grotesque Hermione's teeth were, they were uncomfortably too large for her small mouth.
Finally back at home, Ginny threw her suitcase down. The broken clasp she had reinforced with Spello tape gave out, and all of her belongings spilled out onto the floor. She didn't care. She collapsed on her bed and closed her eyes, half-wishing she still had Tom. Ginny wanted to write--oh, she wanted to write and tell Tom about everything, about gritting her teeth so hard that she got a headache, clamping shut the furious growl that grew and grew inside of her.
