Australia slowly opened his eyes; his vision hazy due to the fact that he was still half-asleep. He raised a fist to his face, attempting to rub the sleep out of his eyes.

He yawned, extending out his arms above his head. He felt his hand hit something, landing on the floor with a loud clang. He sat up. He scanned the room wearily, blinking a few times, allowing his blurry vision to focus before recognizing his living room.

The bleary-eyed Australian looked to the ground, soon discovering the thing he had knocked over was a large green and yellow Wallabies mug, spilling out a soggy teabag and the last few drops of the brown liquid onto the wooden floor.

Jack let out a sigh. At least it wasn't broken. He lifted his gaze from the floor.

His eyes were met with stacks of documents piled up on his coffee table. Several empty mugs of coffee and tea were balancing on top of the papers.

His mind slowly recalled the night before, staying up late to finish the load of paperwork his boss had dumped on him.

He couldn't remember if he finished it or not. He swung his legs over to the side of the dark-green sofa and stood up. He'll check it later. He padded along the floor, turning into the hallway, and into the bathroom.

"Whoa!"

His eyes were wide in surprise at his reflection. A pair of pointy, brown furry ears was sticking out from the top of his head.

"How did this happen?" He experimentally twitched an ear, soon discovering he could move them. He reached a hand up; taking hold of one ear and pulling it down, watching it spring back up as he let it slip from his grip.

"This looks a whole lot like a-" He cut himself off, twisting around to look at himself.

A long, thick white-tipped tail stuck out from the place where his back met his waistline.

How did he not notice that before?

Now wide awake, he slowly turned around to face to the mirror, his brows furrowed in confusion. How did he suddenly grow a pair of ears and a tail? He doesn't remember doing anything that might explain the sudden occurrence.

Bright green eyes studied his reflection in the mirror, taking in every detail. Apart from the ears and tail, there doesn't seem to be anything that is out of the ordinary.

A slow grin soon spread across his features, revealing sharp, canine teeth. He quite liked the new look. At least now he doesn't have to worry about a Halloween costume.

He chuckled at his own remark and headed out the bathroom, deciding to pay a visit to his sheep-loving little brother.

Grabbing his car keys from where it hung from the hook, he walked out the house with a slight spring in his step, singing;

"What does the fox say?~"
